Not gonna lose this week. What is everyone doing on the off week? Im about to head out for a unusual weekend guide trip. Just a half day should be back in the house by 1:00.

The line up today is shite. Other than the Vols/Gumps and Ohio St / Whisky, there are no real good games......

Shall we give the livers a break today? I will leave it up to you guys. Im in which ever you decide.

But first, must catch spotted bass for 4 hours

I'm going to contemplate the universal appeal of the NEOSURREALISM school of Artistic football founded by the GREAT MASTER SEAN WHITE.

Just got back from the beach and headed to the ut/bama game later. Taking the dog to play disc golf first.

Deep Springs CC for 18 holes this morning and get burnt out with some buddies. Come home and grill some food, drink some Magic Hat #9s and watch Bama/ Tenn, but am much more looking forward to Ohio St/Wisky.

Perfect Fall Saturday.
Cheers, fellow Bye killers

Well, was hoping to get my first sit of the season in but once again outside forces decided that wouldn't happen.

Taking the crew to a museum up here today so the boy can hunt fossils. They're doing a paleontologist camp. I'll be at the aquarium staring down the big brook trout, and outside at the deer pen talking shite

Currently en route to Philadelphia, simply because I haven't been before. I love bye weeks, it's like I have my life back.

The wife and oldest daughter are in London until Monday. I guess the dogs and I will be forced to grill and drink bourbon tonight by the fireplace.

Just back from Wyoming/Colorado. I'm probably going to drink some Coors Light or Angel's Envy, watch football and reverse sear some steak.

Stahp;-). But yes - my liver was on heavy duty today but is now on break for most of the weekend. I have football to watch.

It is now midnight here and I am trying to stay up for the early games beginning in an hour or so. I will watch /nap/watch/watch/nap/watch/nap/watch/watch/nap/watch for the next 14 hours+.

They are wide open right now. Spinnerbaits in the morning, topwater the rest of the day. Not sure if we are friends on Facebook but if we are, you will see how good it has been lately.

It wil be excellent from now till the end of the year. It will change but it will be excellent. The deep bite will start about mid November. We will get them stacked up on the bottom in 45-55 feet of water and just slay them on jigs and spoons... I love the fishing that time of year. My favorite. I just hate the cold weather. LOL

Back from my trip now. Just going to sit here and relax the rest of the day. Big changes tomorrow. I have been working too much lately, eating like shite, drinking too much and not exercising. Working so much and football will kill me.

Back on the bike and running tomorrow and off the Julio for a while. Don't want to die anytime soon

Sucks getting old

Got our state championship coming up on Neely Henry this month. It's the same way here: buzzbait or spinnerbait all day on deeper rocky banks.

What's the best time of year on Lanier? Dec/Jan? The colder it gets in Alabama, the meaner these spots get.

Lanier keeps 3 fish in his bait well and has customers have their pics with them to drive business...

There really is no bad time other than Mid january through mid february and most of August. It all depends on weather. But mid May through mid June or Thanksgiving to Christmas are my favorite times...
