Is this committee for real?
He's like 21 years old.

SGA president is always involved as he officially represents student interests.
In practice, he/she don't really have an opinion of value unless they basically are willing to completely veto a candidate (which none woudl)

Who on the committee represents disgruntled football fans?

I think the ITT President is probably available.

Why isn't there a rep from the CADC? It's probably the best college on campus.

Hopefully no one. I don't want my academic institution leadership chosen based on athletic results.
Disgruntled football fans should just want a president who hires a good AD and then stay away from athletics

Looking at how fricked everything is right now JJ probably promoted to prez and wait for it Tim Jackson new AD extensions for errbody

I don't know how these search committees are selected but Tim Cook would have been a good pick.
Maybe he is being saved for a football coach search committee.

Yea, I doubt he has anything else going on

Yeah, I'm guessing he's pretty busy. But I'd at least like for them to run the names by themore influential alumni.

The guy who is screwing up Apple?

Please enlighten me on what insight Tim Cook would have on a presidential search committee that you would deem useful besides his name?
He lives and breaths Apple. He in all likelihood doesn't keep up with higher education

I went through the B.Arch program. The problem with CADC is that it is a very very successful program for a relatively small number of students, compared to Business or Engineering. The couple of architecture professors I know well complained that the university was always hesitant to give money because, if the programs are so successful at the current budget, why would we need to give them more? Its part of the reason Dudley Hall is such a shite hole.
I personally think the university would do well to cultivate it's top 10 programs no matter the size, because it takes maintenance to retain those program's status nationally, but I'm obviously biased.

You mean the guy that has made Apple an insane amount of money despite losing their visionary leader?
Since Tim Cook took over
-Stock price more than doubled
-iPhone sales records have been made
-Increased profit
-Increased Revenue
-Diversified Apple portfolio
But let's focus on a missing headphone jack and claim Tim Cook has failed Apple

Yes, I know recently the university has had issue with the fact of how close the ratio of professors to students is in the CADC. But I agree that the academics woulf be better off if the school focused its endowment on ten or so programs instead of spreading it among several.

There is plenty of money in CADC, it just all goes to Building Science as it is #1 rated, popular and the graduates actually make money to donate after graduation
CADC received more money from the recent capital campaign than the College of Liberal Arts despite a larger student enrollment

We already do this. The endowment per student enrolled for the following programs is ridiculous compared to other programs
-Engineering
-Vet School
-Building Science
-Agriculture
-Pharmacy or Nursing (grouped due to size)
-**Recently** Business School

Good to know. This was 6 years ago but I remember more than a couple architecture professors being unhappy with the budget despite having a consistently top 10 undergraduate architecture program. It's not like architects are paupers when it comes to money, most I know make comparable wages to engineers (and there are several Auburn grads working real estate development that went through the program that are filthy rich). It is a far smaller student body than building science though.
