First thing to look at when handicapping is defense. It's no contest. Don't get jaded by the amount of points, that's like trying to pick the score which is a loser's game. Auburn covers fairly easily here.

Missouri blows but I wouldn't touch this team to cover shite personally.

Mizzou's defense has more holes than a colander and AU still will not cover.

Mizzou has lost by a combine 50 points at home the last two weeks to a pair of pretty mediocre teams... meanwhile AU lost be 8 on the road to what might be the best team in college football.

Everyone talking Mizzou +20 is the lock of the century need to put your money where your posting is.

That is a large number for an SEC game.

Sure their D sucks, but they have a good O......plus, our O really hasn't gotten it's footing yet.

I'm not sure I've ever been less sure about the outcome of a game than this week

Their offense has scored 13 and 3 points against defensive juggernauts South Carolina and Purdue.

In order to win by 20, our offense presumably has to score at least 20. (Yes, I realize we could have special teams TD or pick 6, but not a good betting strategy to assume those happen.).

Nothing I have seen this season leads me to believe we can score 20 points on any SEC team.

I think we win like 34-10, Missouri is looking rough.

So rough that there is a chance we could play like we did against Mercer and still have a chance to win.

FWIW, Auburn with a half decent offense should beat this Mizzou team like 55-10, so picking us to win by 24 isn't a ringing endorsement of where we are as a team.

Think it may have been Ole Miss in '98.

If history repeats, Gustav will quit midseason, and we'll hire Barry Odom.

ETA: Turns out we shut out MSU back to back years, in '05-'06.
