Jay Jacobs finally did something right. The game was set to not be viewed at all but it will now be on the WatchESPN App.

My friend said he facebook messaged the head of media relations about it. Don't know if he heard back but I'm sure more than a few people were complaining

I thought all home basketball games would be on the SECN+ through WatchESPN. Did I miss something?

I thnk that is SEC games. Last year, there were quite a few games not on tv or ESPN3/WatchESPN

quote:Yes. Just because they have the means to show all home games through WatchESPN does not mean they will. We are contracted to do so right now.

It will be the Arena feed with Rod Bramblett. I am sure a lot of folks complained since we were the only school NOT to do this.
Is streaming really considered televised?

Huh...okay. I just thought I remembered watching most every HOME game on WatchESPN unless the game was on another network. All of Auburn's home games are listed as being on TV, whether SECN, SECN+, or other.
Looking back at AU's schedule last year, a few games were on the Fox Sports network of channels. It seems like AU must have had some sort of contract with FSN because a bunch of them were home games.

quote:It depends on your definition I guess. If televised to you means a broadcast on tv then no not televised. I consider the watchESPN televi since it will have announcers and if I wass not working the game I would be watching it on my tv. I will change the title of the thread though to avoid any confusion.

Not according to Auburn's 2014-15 Basketball Fact Book. On the schedule listed there, all games are carried on TV or through stream. If they were not carried, FSN must have bought the games from ESPN then not carried them which seems highly unlikely.

All I can tell you is I remember there were times that there was so nuch going in athletics on campus last year that not every game was televised. We don't have enough equipment to stream more than 2 events on SEC Network + the same day. It may be Baseball that was affected but I still stand by my previous statement that not every basketball game is contracted to be on Tv or on the WatchESPN App. That is evidenced by UAB & Ga. South not set to even be on the Arr until today. Every SEC game yes. Every noncon home game no.
