Well yea, I didn't necessarily say cocky as a bad thing. He is just living the best life, and is great at throwing the ball and knows it. My favorite thing, however, is how he is dapping up all his teammates, especially the OL. He has acted like the #1 leader of this team even without being named the starter. I reallyyyyyy think we're onto something very special

gotcha

Cocky is often annoying; however if tempered with genuine enthusiasm, it can be an infectious good thing.

etc: it=/=it's

QBs typically need a healthy sense of self-worth. Quiet confidence is one way (Nick Marshall), and cockiness is another. I don't care if JS gets a money sign tattooed on his face and changes his name to "Tha Greatest" as long as he wins games

Gus said that Sean White told him he was good to go. He couldn't throw the ball past the line of scrimmage, how could he be the best man for the job? If your shoulder is hurting you so badly that you struggle to throw means you tell the coaches and they put in the back up.

I know several people have shared by sentiments that I spoke with about it. Not sure why my comments are so over the top.

Hypothetical for you: how would you have felt about Sean if he had done this the week before, when we were trailing Vandy at home after playing the backup QB in the first half?

Because any coach watching him go through warm-ups should have been able to tell that he wasn't okay. For this blame to fall entirely on Sean, the concession must be made that every coach who watched Sean warm up for that game should be fired for incompetence.

Because you are disparaging a kid for competing his heart out and try to help his team. It isn't his place to take himself out when he is hurt, hell he didn't even know he broke it.

The problem wasn't Sean or his bum shoulder. It was Malzahn being scared to let JF throw a deep pass in a game that mattered. He can hit the deep ball enough to keep the LB and DB from crowding the line. We win UGA and Vandy with Franklin if he opens up the playbook a little

I would tend to agree.

I want players that you have to drag off the field because they want to be out there so much. Sean White is that type of kid. It's on the training staff and coaches to decide whether a kid should play or not. The UGA game was a coaching failure, not a player failure

Yep, not that I agree, but I remember people posting the same after the UGA game on here.

Just post "15-0 Ship" on the Rant and everyone will love you again.

I'm not so sure about that.

There may have been legitimate reasons why Gustav/Lashlee were afraid to open up the playbook for JFIII.

I went through years of surgeries and rehab to stay in the fight until Uncle Sam told me to leave. I know all about this. My issue is he wasn't the best option that game with his level of injury, at that point is becomes selfish.

I 100% get what you are saying, but that decision is not on the player, regardless of what his intention is. The coach has to make the call to keep him in or not.

Right but Uncle Sam told you to leave. Gus and/or training staff should have told White to leave. Dude won the Vandy game with a bum arm, no doubt he thought he could win UGA too. Again that loss was all on the coaching staff

Yes - but to be fair, coaches were working from a considerable disadvantage with no healthy QB, no KP. Still on them to come up with some game plan to beat a bad UGA team.

Oh I agree. That was a shitty situation all around. But they failed in adjusting to it. My number one complaint with Gus is he seems terrible at in game adjustments in the past few seasons. His opening game scripts usually work really well then things just get stuck
