Well if we go 3-6 in SEC road games we don't make the NCAAT. Considering our difficulties in scheduling OOC competition, we don't have the luxury of losing games we shouldn't

For reference, we only have 5 games scheduled against likely top 50 opponents and most would predict we go 1-4

Also of note, UConn plays @Zona 12/21 then plays @AU 12/23

So Uconn travels from New England to Arizona then to Alabama in a period of 3 days. Got to imagine that is a plus for AU

ESPN redid their 2018 recruiting rankings, EJ Montgomery is now a 4* #31 overall

Every single sport, Auburn gets a top recruit early on in the process and they just tumble in the rankings. Recruiting sites hate us.

People talk about the Bama Bump in recruiting. There's an Auburn Bump too, it just goes the opposite way

I really like EJ Montgomery, but I didn't buy the top 10-15 ranking. Thought he should be ~20-30

We haven't had this issue for bsaketball though, it has been pretty fair

-Jared Harper- UR/3* to top 100
-Chuma Okeke - Rose ~10-15 spots in Composite after committing
-Austin Wiley - ESPN #20 2017, became #17 2018
-Horace Spencer - ESPN #75 to #61

I'm getting really frickin pissed about our scheduling

I see no good reason why we can't get the following teams scheduled. These teams are doing H/H w lower quality teams than AU.

-Georgetown
-St Johns
-Wichita
-SMU
-Cincinatti
-St Marys
-VCU

Because we have an incompetent, unqualified moron for an AD that literally can't get anything done.

I'd bet money that our failure to schedule Good opponents comes from Jacobs trying to negotiate from a stronger position than we have

I'd do 2H 1A against nearly any top ball school in a heart beat

I thought Bruce was going to play a game in ATL once a year.

I bet we could get some decent teams to sign on for that

- Auburn likely will only take 1 commit in 2018: EJ Montgomery

- AU extremely optimistic about 2019/2020 classes that are loaded in the SE and AU are "in" with many top players

- Auburn still recruiting/talking with 2018
4* G Diante Wood (Sacred Heart , AL)
4* G Will Richardson (GA, plays Oak Hill)
3* F Trey Jameson (Homewood)
JUCO PF Shaq Carter (FL)

2019 Recruiting

- AU could sign 3-5 depending on NBA departures and attrition

- AU already started to focus recruiting/game visits on 2019/2020 recruits

- AU in mix for 5* Christian Brown and Ashton Hagans. Both have made it to AU multiple times including Person's shooting camp. Brown and his mom made the trip Sept 2

- AU very much in it for 2020 NY 5* SF Nate Tabor. Harris Adler is primary recruiter and AU has visited him in NY

- Visited AL + McEachern High Powder Springs, GA
- 2019 Hazel Green G Kira Lewis
- 2019 4* Huntsville F Kobe Browm
- 2019 4* Isaac Okoro
-2019 3* F Jared Jones
- 2019 3* C Babatunde Akingbola
- 2020 4* G Sharife Cooper

- Okoro may be Auburns top target in 2019
- Akingbola aka "Stretch" may be a close #2. Dominated an AU camp and has a great frame inside
- Jared Jones is a former commit and we are still pursuing and in the picture

Other People to watch

Carver SG 6'5 Jaquan Walton. No AU offer but we are tracking his progress
