How do you see this one going?

Thoughts on a good game plan?

Does Gus open it up like he did the first half of the UK game?

I hear we're going to lose, but I was told the same thing against UK. They're def beatable. I think we need to stack the box on defense and make Allen beat us with his arm. Their defensive front isn't near what it was last year. I don't think their OL is near as good as last year either. I feel we should attack them the same way we attacked UK. However keep the running game downhill and only give Kerryon the speed sweep if we do run it (this play should honestly only be run 1 time a game). Allow White to make plays. I'm starting to think he can bc a really good QB in this league if we continue to put in positions to make plays.

Arkansas played Bama and TAM well. On top of that, Bielemia seems willing to sell his soul to the devil to beat Gus.

Auburn by 21.

Their fans are extremely confident that they'll win, and that Toledo is a better team than AU.

Put as many guys in the box as we can. And if they can beat us passing so be it.

This game will come down to Gus having the balls to go for it on 4th and short. Either he goes for it, or chickens out and we lose. What gets me is that every coach at a big time program takes risks. Les, Saban, Richt...all risks. Hell, even Florida's coach called a fake FG. Gus? Punt, kick the FG, its too risky! And what makes it worse, he used to go for it on fourth down, kick onside kicks, and even go for two point conversions. Now? Nothing.

Rant over

I looked at the Arky board earlier. They've already started threads with some confidence they will beat our butt.

I dont think so. We'll see. Arky at Arky is always hard.

It is arguable that punting was the bigger risk.

What's the over/under of stupid shite Bert says or does before this game is over. I'll set it at 3.

They have a great TE.

They are physical on offensive line.

I think we can compete.

We have special teams that can make a difference if we do not implode on offense or totally suck on defense.

I think we can win this one.

Our game plan, imo, should be to sell out in defense and force an offense to be one dimensional. I don't care if they run or pass, just don't let them do both at will. If we are going to stop the run, stack 7 in the box and get a push and force them to beat us by going over us. If we are set on not getting in the backfield, put 7 back and take away the pass altogether and give up on a pass rush.

On offense, I feel like our happy ground is 20 to 25 passes with half being in the 20 to 30 yard range, a quarter being deeper and a quarter being set up screens or halfback flat passes.

Their DBs are terrible. SW and our WRs will eat them up. I got a feeling Lawson plays. We win by 14.

Arkansas fans are a bit peculiar in the sense that they really, really want to beat Auburn every year and I'm mentally exhausted from wanting to beat Alabama, UGA, and LSU. I actually haven't seen enough of their games this year to even give a meaningful response to the football side of things. I do know that Bert is an embarrassment of a person and Arky deserves better.

Their OL isn't unbelievable like one would expect. It is good but I don't think it will be domination by their OL

I feel very good given that Harris can't pass

Their strength on offense (running game) plays into our weakness on defense... and our strength on offense (running game) plays into their strength on defense.

i think we'll keep it close, but the matchups don't look good.

Stop the run, make Brandon Allen beat you with his arm.

Yes, until he gets a lead.

One thing I did find interesting about Arkansas... their giving up alost 6 yards per play on the season... 2nd worst in the conference behind USCe. Granted they've played some good offenses (Toledo, Texas texh, A&M, bama, Tenn)

He couldn't.

But Fournette ran all over us anyway.

Bert is sick of half of Arky wishing they had hired Gus. He will throw the kitchen sink at us to shut Gus's followers up.

We are definitely their super bowl. But I think we win this game. We're getting better
