Somebody help me out with this. Is this going to play on the AppleTV CBS Sports app or do I need to do the 1-week trial with CBS.com?

Solid. I assume something will pop up on their homepage around game time... right? How have the streams been this year?
ETA: Gotcha, thanks.

Usually pretty good, you can adjust the bitrate (which affects quality) depending on your connection with the gears in the bottom right.
Anything over 1500k will be an acceptable picture but may want to tweak up/down depending on your connection and how the network is actually performing itself

Awesome. Are they not live streaming the Michigan State game right now?

no idea, I'm on hospital computers right now and I'm sure I just triggered some watch list by starting the LSU/AUB preview stream to check and see how its working

I'm watching with the antenna.
ETA: LINK This is where the game will be. Try the preview. I see that they have chromecast support built it and sent the preview to my TV via chromecast and it worked just fine. If apple TV doesn't work get you a Chromecast for $25 at bestbuy.
Also use the Chomecast beta extension. For some reason it works better. I watched Auburn Football Everyday through CBSSports last night and it was too glitchy with the regular extension. I installed the beta and it worked great.

I'm already watching the game Auburn is up 42-13 in the bottom of the third quarter.
Lawson has 3 sacks and 6 TFL's
LF7 has 52 yds 2.9 avg
JJ has 302 yds 3TD's and 89 yds 1 TD rushing.
Barber at 110 yds 1 TD
Jovon at 98 1 TD
Ford
Matthews
Countess
all with 1 INT each
Been a great game so far.

Regardless of reason frick CBS for "geo-restricting" the game. Always feared deploying during an entire season and missing it.

Bumping to see if the stream worked with the AppleTV.

Nope, at least not on the CBS app. I ended up streaming from CBS.com and using my laptop's HDMI input to the TV.

Chromecast, Fire, and Roku > Apple TV
I have a Chromecast for every room in the house. Greatest invention ever.

I guess I don't understand how it works... could you expound a bit?

Are you asking how chromecast works? I can help you there. With the chromecast you connect it to your tv and to your wifi network with an app on your phone or tablet. Then you need to add the chromecast extension to chrome on your computer. Find the cbs stream online and within the video you'll see a cast icon to send it to your tv with the chromecast on it.
If you're asking about apple tv then I've just wasted some time and I don't know. Sorry dude.
