Anyone starting to come around to tony barbee

Team has turned season around a little bit is now 6-3 with two pretty good wins I a row and will be favored in next 3 games,he still needs to win at least 8 confrence games for me to have any faith

We absolutely need to have a pretty good showing in conference play to inspire ANY faith on my part.

.500 in conference play this year is all that will be acceptable. The SEC isn't particularly strong, actually weak this year in the bottom half, so he doesn't have much of an excuse. That, + an NIT showing. Anything less and he should be fired.
These two past wins sound better than they are, but I'm still happy with the psychological turnaround after getting their asses handed to them by Iowa State/Illinois.

Not yet. We need to show something in conference and make it through one offseason without losing half the roster.

Barbee is probably a good coach, but he isn't good enough for AU. We need someone dynamic in recruiting and/or that runs a contrarian system.

No. He has to be .500 or better in conference to be worthy of any praise.

Not at all. I fully expect another terrible season in SEC play.
For me to have an ounce of faith in him he needs to win 8 conference games this year, have another solid year next season and have at least 2 offseasons of no turnover outside of graduation

Clemson and BC aren't very good but atleast he picked up 2 W's against teams with a recognizable name. Our 2 recruits this year don't look to be anything special. We have got to find an SEC caliber big man to really have a chance at an NIT or NCAA birth.

This. We need to find the Gus of basketball. Since we can't recruit because of UnderArmor/AAU/bullshite, maybe we should hire some four corners, Princeton disciple and recruit a bunch of slow white kids. Can't be any worse than what we have now?

No. We also beat Florida State last year (or two years ago, I can't remember) and went on to have a terrible season.

I don't need to read the comments. My opinion? Team beat Clemson. They wanted that one so bad. They have confidence right now. We'll see what happens.
But dont crown Barbee for winning 2 ACC games. We can easily start sec play 0-4 with our typically bad conference schedule
