So the UF Scout site out out an article claiming the Gators lead for 3* Richard Jibunor. Someone asked KN about it and he thinks that writer misunderstood Jibunor. Says he spent a ton of time with Jibunor recently and got no impression at all that the Gators lead. Right now it's an AU/BAMA/TEN battle

Also had VIP article on 3* DE Andres Fox. Fox is apparently getting close to a decision, aiming for end of summer, before senior season. He's narrowed it down to AU/BAMA/LSU. He claims they are all even. He was close to committing to AU in the past but his mom had him hold off. He speaks most often with Travis Williams. Something concerning though is he claims LSU is recruiting him "a lot harder" than either AU or Bama and recently factimed with Oregeron. With that said, KN responded in the comments to say that AU staff apparently plans on "getting on that". He plans on visiting for BCW and his mom is making the trip.

I don't like that LSU comment. Fox should be a top priority considering he's like the one instate kid that we seem to have an edge on despite all his friend and family wanting him at Bama. I have an outside hope at Fox pulling the trigger at BCW but we have to get his mom on board. Everyone keeps saying that parents won't push him to Bama but he has also said that he has get things right with his family before committing because they want Bama. That sounds ominous... Hopefully we convince momma this weekend

I kinda feel bad for T-WILL. It sounds like his job is basically to recruit everybody. Wish I would hear Larry Porter's name more. Thought we would get more from him at this point. KN did say the other day Porter is the guy working hardest on James Cook who is supposed to visit this summer so we will see. But we can't count on Williams to land us every stud recruit.

A look at the Auburn Crystal Ball (247)
quote:

Every few weeks, we look at the 247Sports Crystal Ball to see who is trending toward the Auburn Tigers -- and who isn't.

With six commitments, Auburn has approximately 17-18 spots left to fill in the 2018 class.

Who will the Tigers land?

That can't be predicted with 100 percent accuracy. For starters, National Signing Day is more than eight months away. Second, we are, after all, dealing with teenagers, whose minds often change with the wind.

That said, generally speaking the 247Sports Crystal Ball seems to be a fairly good indicator of where a prospect will sign -- especially as you get closer to a recruit's decision date.

So, who is Auburn trending for in the Crystal Ball? And who do the Tigers trail for in the eyes of the pickers?

With Big Cat Weekend -- Auburn's signature recruiting event -- just one week away here's a quick look at 25 of the primary players the Tigers are involved with in this recruiting cycle:

CALEB TANNOR, DE

My Crystal Ball pick: No pick made

Level of Confidence: N/A

Breakdown: Tannor visited Auburn three times this spring and the Tigers are in the mix. It may ultimately come down to Auburn, Florida, Georgia and Tennessee.

Wore UGA gloves at his spring game FYI

JOSEPH FOUCHA, S

My Crystal Ball pick: Auburn

Level of Confidence: Medium/Low

Breakdown: He'll make his second visit to Auburn this year in June. The Tigers seem to be trending up but just last week he only released a top 15 -- meaning he might not be close to having a decision.

His teammate 4* WR Lawrence Keys released a top 10 with AU included. Will be interesting to see if Auburn tries to land both

MYLES MASON, S

My Crystal Ball pick: No pick made

Level of Confidence: N/A

Breakdown: Auburn or Alabama? Probably the one that recruits him the hardest.

If he camps at Bama and they give him the ok he goes Tide. If they pass we get em imo

SHEDRICK JACKSON, WR

My Crystal Ball pick: Auburn

Level of Confidence: High

Breakdown: The Tigers like their chances of landing Jackson -- and so do we. It could happen sooner rather than later. He'll attend Big Cat Weekend on June 3. Commit watch? Yes.

Not sure about us taking both Jackson and Fuqua at WR. I like Jackson more than Fuqua but with us only taking 4 WRs and Hill looking good, that leaves really one one spot left for Ross. I was kinda hoping we would get one of Copeland/K. Jackson/Ezzard/Williams but that doesn't look likely

MASTER TEAGUE, RB

My Crystal Ball pick: Auburn

Level of Confidence: Low

Breakdown: Auburn-Georgia-Tennessee battle but Georgia is trending bit at the moment. We're close to flipping out Crystal Ball pick.

Ridiculous they could get Teague and White. Why any RB would want to play for Cheney makes no sense. Dude had to be told by Michel and Chubb to run the ball more

TANK JENKINS, OG

My Crystal Ball pick: No pick made

Level of Confidence: N/A

Breakdown: Auburn has two interior lineman committed. Will it take a third? Maybe. Jenkins remains a target and potentially could land in the class.

JUANYEH THOMAS, CB

My Crystal Ball pick: Auburn

Level of Confidence: High

Breakdown: The Tigers could be on the verge of landing his commitment sometime in the near future. At the latest, he'll have a decision sometime in August.

I think he might visit for BCW. If he does could also be on commit watch

ASA MARTIN, RB

My Crystal Ball pick: Auburn

Level of Confidence: Low

Breakdown: The Gators lead in the Crystal Ball, but now Alabama is picking up some steam. How hard will the Tide push? If Alabama goes all in, that's not good news for Auburn and Florida. The bottom line, things just got a lot more complicated. Martin recently visited Auburn and plans to return for Big Cat Weekend on June 3.

How much you wanna bet Daboll is showing him James White highlights

SETH WILLIAMS, WR

My Crystal Ball pick: Alabama

Level of Confidence: Medium/Low

Breakdown: The Crystal Ball is all Tide, but Auburn is very much in the hunt. The Tigers have recruited him harder than anyone. Could that pay off?

I think this will be Tarik Black all over again. Guy likes Burns but it's clear he has favorite team and ends up committing there anyway

ANDRES FOX, DE

My Crystal Ball pick: Auburn

Level of Confidence: Medium

Breakdown: According to Fox, he nearly committed to Auburn earlier this year but his mother asked him to hold off. Alabama and LSU are very much in the mix. He will attend Big Cat Weekend on June 3. Right now, Fox says LSU is recruiting him the hardest. The Bayou Bengals definitely have a shot.

Freaking Orgeron

RICHARD JIBUNOR, OLB/BUCK

My Crystal Ball pick: Auburn

Level of Confidence: Medium

Breakdown: Jibunor is extremely close with the Auburn staff. He's also friends with Tigers offensive tackle Prince Tega Wanogho, who like himself is a Nigerian native. Auburn probably has recruited him harder than anyone. He'll attend Big Cat Weekend. Alabama and Tennessee are other programs near the top.

About time we are recruiting someone harder than everyone else

ANTHONY SCHWARTZ, WR

My Crystal Ball pick: Florida

Level of Confidence: High

Breakdown: Auburn probably is sitting in the No. 2 spot but while the Tigers are within striking distance the Gators could be tough to beat. If Auburn can get him on campus again, the Tigers may have a shot.

Breakdown: McClain has named Auburn his leader and will attend Big Cat Weekend. Right now the Tigers are in good shape, but if Florida or Florida State push it could get interesting.

Glad he's getting back on campus. Not sure he's on commit watch tho

KYLER MCMICHAEL, CB

My Crystal Ball pick: No pick made

Level of Confidence: N/A

Breakdown: McMichael seems wide open at the moment but Auburn is trending up after a recent visit there and he plans to return June 3. Clemson is trending, but does the program have room? Keep an eye on FSU.

I will be ok with losing Armour-Davis if we get this kid instead. I don't think we land either right now tho...

COYNIS MILLER, DT

My Crystal Ball pick: Auburn

Level of Confidence: Low

Breakdown: Auburn was Miller's first big offer, but he's a longtime Alabama fan. Other schools are involved, but we think it comes down to those two. The confidence seeems to be higher in Tuscaloosa than in Auburn. Miller will attend Big Cat Weekend on June 3 and probably will have a decision late summer. The Tide seem to be trending some.

I completely forgot KN has him CB'd to us. That seems dumb

JJ PETERSON, LB

My Crystal Ball pick: No pick made

Level of Confidence: N/A

Breakdown: Alabama-Auburn battle with the Tide holding the edge at the moment. Peterson is expected to visit Auburn soon. The Tide is the overwhelming favorite but Auburn is in better position than even a month ago.

I think KN said a few weeks ago AU went from it being 90/10 Bama over AU to 70/30 so that's something I guess
