I get it but he is good buds with Lindsey and it never hurts to have a relationship like that when recruiting a kid

Trust me, Propst is all about his players and getting them to play in college. He might be a Bama fan but he doesn't let that get in the way professionally. When it comes to his players and his friends in the coaching business he wants what's best for them. This wouldn't be close to the first player he's sent to Auburn that had a Bama offer.

AU offered 2019 ATH Jammie Robinson tonight. He is teammates with Big Cat and Quay Walker. Bama was his first offer 2 weeks ago

KN pointed out yesterday that lots of CBs are coming in for 3* WR Anthony Schwartz to Florida. He thinks their track program is going to give them the edge
Personally I am cool with that. Schwartz is fastest recruit in country but I don't see much else to his game. Would rather get Ross, Hill & 1 of Kearis Jackson/Seth Williams/Jacob Copeland/Marquez Ezzard

KN put up a VIP article on possible next commits, here's summary
- Believes 4* WR Matthew Hill is closing in on a commit. Grew up an AU fan and has become real close with Kodi Burns. KN thinks good chance he jumps on board this summer (probably BCW)
- KN specifically says he thinks 4* S Quindarious Monday might commit at BCW. AU is in front and seems to have a lead over the next group of teams in Florida and Florida State
- Says AU is clearly the favorite for 3* DE Andres Fox who has wanted to commit multiple times but been asked to hold off by his mother. AU might push for commit at BCW
- AU/FSU battle still rages for 4* CB Jalyn Armour-Davis. Both teams have some confidence. KN expects he announces this summer
- Auburn has built some momentum with 4* RB Asa Martin and he might have a decision this summer. Something to watch is Alabama recently offered. Still it's been a Gators/Tigers battle so far with AU trending
- The Tigers are in good position with 3* ATH Richard Jibunor but watch out for UGA & Bama. The Dawgs are seeing some top targets go elsewhere so they might start pushing for JIbunor who is in their backyard. Having two Nigerians on team though is big plus for AU
- Another AU/UF battle underway for 3* DB Juanyeh Thomas. Despite low rating being pursued hard by both Tigers and Gatore. AU likes him at CB to start. He plans to visit AU this week and is expected to have a decision in near future
There's a chance AU gets 3 commits at BCW this year in Hill, Monday and Fox but not set in stone especially if Hill decides to go to Under Armour event and Fox keeps getting pushed to Bama by family. I think unless Clemson offers before, Monday will pull the trigger. I also wouldn't be shocked if Thomas committed this week on visit but I don't think it's super likely
I fully expect Bama to land Martin now if they want him. HIs mom I believe is a huge Tide fan. However, I think chances increase now of us flipping Dameon Pierce. Very curious to see what happens at RB spot this cycle. I would love to get Pierce, Teague or Joiner. I am lukewarm on Martin right now

Bama offers Asa Martin (247)
Guarantee timing of offer suddenly has no affect

Martin wasn't thrilled AU waited awhile to offer. Curious to see his reaction to this.

KN also has VIP update on 4* CB Jalyn Armour-Davis. Says this was difficult interview to get because Armour-Davis doesn't like talking to media
Armour-Davis says got good feel for school on his 3 day visit last month. It let him see what it was like to actually be a student athlete AU including what time he would have to wake up, going to class and team meetings on top of practice. Says he fits in very well at Auburn. He called Greg Brown "very intelligent" and seems like they have good relationship. He's visited AU the most but even more important for Tigers is his mom has visited 3-4 times and she loves it. That's big as she plays big role in his recruitment. Says Tre Williams has recruited him some but for most part just tells him to go where he feels most comfortable. He plans to take all of his official visits even if he commits this summer

3* LB Ernest Jones released a top 4 that did not include AU last night. KN says Tigers like him a lot but have spent more time recruiting other guys like Michael Harris, Zakoby McClain, JJ Peterson and Channing Tindall. Thinks Duke is probably landing spot because of academics

Igbinoghene excited about Auburn QBs, future with Tigers (247)
quote:
Four-star receiver signee Noah Igbinoghene of Hewitt-Trussville High got a good look at the Auburn quarterbacks this spring and liked what he saw. "They're all really good," Igbinoghene said. "We have a really good future ahead of us." What stood out most with Jarrett Stidham, the star of Auburn's A-Day game? "He looks so calm," Igbinoghene said. "Like he's done it before." Igbinoghene, one of two receivers in the Auburn 2017 class, recently turned 17. He's competing in several track and field events this spring and will arrive in Auburn the last week of May to embark on his Tigers career. AuburnUndercover.com caught up with Igbinoghene last week. KN says that when him and the Bama 247 guy Hank South met with 5* WR Justyn Ross last week they asked for thoughts on Jarrett Stidham. Ross says he has NFL arm and apparently that impressed him the most. He also really like what he saw from Malik Willis
Curious to see what Ross says after Bama visit

Tigers offer Big Cat's former teammate (247)
quote:
Last week, 2019 athlete Jammie Robinson told AuburnUndercover.com he hoped the Tigers would offer.
He got his wish.
According to Robinson's coach at Cordele (Ga.) Crisp County, Shelton Felton, Auburn offered Robinson on Sunday evening. South Carolina and Vanderbilt also have offered in the past week. Alabama offered two weeks ago.
"It means a lot for that offer -- WDe," Robinson said.
The 5-feet-11, 180-pound Robinson is projected by most at cornerback.
He is a former teammate of 2017 Auburn signee Markaviest Bryant and current teammate of 2018 linebacker/buck target Quay Walker.
Robinson rushed for 1,384 yards, recorded 106 tackles (56 solo) and snagged three interceptions in 14 games last season.

Rivals 3 Stripe Camp Atlanta: Top offensive performers (Rivals)
quote:
Some of the Southeast’s top players turned out for Sunday’s Atlanta stop of the Rivals 3-Stripe Camp Series presented by adidas at Alpharetta High School. With so many stars on hand there was bound to be some very impressive performances. Here’s a rundown of the day’s best offensive performers.

quote:
4* C Clay Webb
Recruiting wrap: A 2019 prospect, Webb lists early offers from Auburn, Alabama, Georgia and Mississippi State.
Performance: Webb was in the running for MVP honors until the end of the camp but came up just short as part of a wildly impressive offensive line group. He won most of the one-on-one reps he took in dominant fashion and finished blocks with anger. Webb is incredibly strong and flashed his power while driving defensive linemen into the ground.
Battle for him gets tougher with Quick committing to Bama but thankfully he went to UGA spring game instead of Bama's with Quick

quote:
QB Harrison Bailey
Recruiting wrap: A class-of-2020 prospect, Bailey already has an impressive offer list. Miami, Alabama, Florida, LSU and many others are all involved.
Performance: Bailey was the most consistent quarterback in a star-studded position group. Bailey, who captured MVP honors, took more reps than any of his counterparts and made a number of impressive throws, including a few fade routes that showcased both touch and arm strength. Bailey is already a recruiting commodity despite being years away from signing a letter of intent.

quote:
3* TE John FitzPatrick
Recruiting wrap: Georgia recently offered, joining UCLA, Vanderbilt and Virginia on FitzPatrick's offer list.
Performance: FitzPatrick kind of stole the show, from early in the day when he hurdled a linebacker in the cat and mouse competition to the way he was hauling in pass after pass. Defenders were holding, grabbing and tackling him to slow him down and it just didn't work.
Posted on 4/24/17 at 7:32 am to TigerPaw1
quote:
3* RB Lyn-J Dixon
Recruiting wrap: Dixon has a long list of offers and he recently visited Clemson and Tennessee.
Performance: Dixon was fun to watch. This is a great setting for him to showcase his burst and quickness. His hands were on display as well, and it was tough for any linebacker to stay with him in coverage. He set defenders up well and immediately created separation.
What an amazing first name
Posted on 4/24/17 at 7:34 am to TigerPaw1
quote:
4* OG Trey Hill
Recruiting wrap: Auburn, Clemson, Florida State and Georgia are some of the schools on Hill's list.
Performance: Hill looked like he was going half speed at times. It looked easy to him. It was hard to tell if he was even pushed in some of the 1-on-1 reps. He was dominant and that is nothing new. Hill is so strong at the point of attack., and with his lower body and balance he was tough to move.
Have to get him on campus for BCW
Posted on 4/24/17 at 7:35 am to TigerPaw1
quote:
3* WR Christian Ford
Recruiting wrap: West Virginia, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest are among the schools in the mix for Ford.
Performance: Ford was in the final discussion for wide receiver MVP honors after a day that saw him take rep after rep and quickly become a favorite of the event’s elite quarterbacks. Ford’s route-running and shiftiness makes him very tough to cover in space, and he showed an excellent ability to haul in passes on most occasions and complete the reps with a victory.
Plays at Roswell (Malik Willis's old school) and has got decent film. Strong senior year and he might pop up as a target
Posted on 4/24/17 at 7:35 am to TigerPaw1
quote:
4* OT Marcus "Tank" Jenkins
Recruiting wrap: A number of schools in are in pursuit of Jenkins, including Florida, Louisville, Missouri and Oklahoma.
Performance: Jenkins injured his finger early in the day and blood was coming through his adidas gloves, but he kept competing and won some tough battles in the trenches. He has worked on his body and is improved shape, and Jenkins showed why he is one of the best in Alabama.
Will be interesting to see if we still push for this kid
Posted on 4/24/17 at 7:36 am to TigerPaw1
quote:
3* WR Chigoziem Okonkwo
Recruiting wrap: Georgia Tech and Maryland are his top schools which have offered.
Performance: Okonkwo took many reps and had a very successful day. In some of the drills he looked a dancer with his footwork, and he ran good routes and made a number of plays. He flashed strong hands and he was smiling all day.
