FYI we hired Bohanon's replacement. Karl Nonemaker
Posted on 6/12/17 at 12:45 pm to TigerPaw1
That's a strong hire. We have a coaching staff that is content and happy to be at Auburn. Sissons and Nonemaker are in stages of their careers where I believe they're not going anywhere soon. We have a good situation right now

Do we have any recruits/signees that might get drafted tonight?
Posted on 6/12/17 at 9:08 pm to tilco
Tanner Burns could've gotten a call tonight
Posted on 6/12/17 at 10:15 pm to Rig
Yes, looks very encouraging he hasn't been picked yet. Top 40 talent. Dropping due to signability

Auburn signee chosen on first day of MLB draft; Burns not picked (247)
Would be awesome if we could get both Williams and Burns on campus

Left-handed pitcher Evan Steele of Chipola Community College was the only Auburn player or signee chosen on the first day of the Major League Baseball draft Monday. He was the 73rd pick, chosen by the Kansas City Royals in the Competitive Balance Round B at the end of the second round.
The bigger news for Auburn was that pitcher/infielder signee Tanner Burns of Decatur, Ala., projected to go in the late first or second round, was not chosen. That could be an indication teams are not confident that Burns, Alabama's Mr. Baseball, would would sign.
Signee Steven Williams from Deerfield-Windsor High School in Albany, Ga., ranked the No. 114 prospect and No. 4 high school catcher by Baseball America, also was not chosen.
The second through 10th rounds are set for Tuesday, with 11-40 on Wednesday.
Among draft-eligible Auburn juniors, right-handed pitcher Keegan Thompson is likely to be chosen Tuesday. Centerfielder Jonah Todd, left-handed pitcher Andrew Mitchell and third baseman Josh Anthony are expected to be chosen over the next two days.
Would be awesome if we could get both Williams and Burns on campus

Do we think Josh Anthony, Keegan and Jonah leave? I would think the most likely to leave would be Keegan but what if he falls further than expected? If its me personally I wouldn't leave past round 5 or 6.

I think Keegan is a lock to be gone. Might be a matter of where Todd & Anthony are taken. I personally think Anthony will be back but Todd will not

So I assume Evan Steele the JUCO drafted is going to sign as a RD2 pick then right?

Would be shocked if he didn't

Smart move to sign for him, still hope he spurns them for us for some weird reason

Maybe they suck at math like the Braves did last year with Anthony and they cant pay him what they said they will. Could totally happen twice

Thompson to the Cubs at the end of round 3
Posted on 6/13/17 at 12:58 pm to TigerPaw1
Awesome. Now I have yet another reason to cheer for the Cubs.

Jonah Todd to Angels in 6th round. He gone
Posted on 6/13/17 at 3:18 pm to TigerPaw1
Still no Tanner Burns or Steven Williams. Would be huge to get those 2 on campus next season

Excuse my ignorance, we definitely get Mize back next year?
