I see where this is going. Hopefully Gus and crew can turn it around. But it is not looking good.

Yesterday I laughed at being reduced to going after Wavnelski Aime. Today I cry because we couldn't even sign him.

Y'all didn't want him yesterday. Bitched about offers and that he's a 3*. Now he commits to FSU and it's a big miss

I have been wanting us to go after local talent (3* type guys) to build depth and restock the shelves. It seems like a waste to go after big names when we are missing so much.

Looking at Rivals top 25, 11 players are going out of state, with 6 undecided. UA and AU would always lock the state down. Not sure what is going on.

I didn't want him yesterday, today, or tomorrow but when you can't even sign like your backups backup backup plan you know you're in trouble.

There usually aren't more than 10-12 players per year in the state good enough to go to Auburn or Alabama.

Of those 10-12, the top 3-5 want to go to Alabama and 10-12 are fringe SEC talent at best

That's not right. Just looking at Rivals state of AL ranked players 10-25, some have commited to AL, Michigan, Florida, Florida St, Tennessee, South Carolina and Ole Miss. Alabama's first commentment is ranked 8 in the state. There are 25 players in the state of Alabama that are 3* and up. No reason to take a 2* from Florida. Other SEC schools seem to value these recruits.

The normal MO for Auburn is
1-Be in top 3 for out of state kid
2- Ignore in state kid while pursuing OOS kid
3- Miss on OOS kid
4- Get rejected by in state kid who feels neglected/second choice
5- Get stuck with FL 2*s

Who are we looking at to replace the 4 lbs were losing? We need someone with size that can start immediately no undersized projects
