Our staff doesn't recruit for SHITE and has absofrigginlutely no idea what they are doing. Fire the lot of them. AmIdoingthisrite?
We are a day+ away from 2015 kickoff. Come December and January, do you not think that AU recruiting will be in decent shape? If not....really? Based on....watt?

All things AU posibarner as of 9/2 [ON] OFF

I am not taking up for anyone but I really do not think anyone is going that far.

But we have missed out on a lot of big targets this summer and it hurts. Just because someone points that out, does not mean they are dooming the team or coaching staff..

The problem here is, if you do point that out or make a comment about it, people lose their minds.

It is the difference between perception and reality. Randy thinks he's dealing in reality, when that is really his perception. When we missed on TJ Yeldon, everyone thought the world was coming to an end. We signed Tre Mason and the rest is history. Some strictly live in the present, which hinders them from looking forward and having a bigger picture point of view.

You ladies can get your panties in a wad if that's how you feel but we will be just fine when everything is said and done. Auburn recruits itself, and that will be on full display once the season starts.

We signed Tre the year before TJ Yeldon signed. Tre was 2011, Yeldon was 2012.

Tre was a result of AU missing out on Isaiah Crowell (big bust) and Mike Blakely (even BIGGER bust).

Facts n junk. Randy and Brannigan are what separate this board from ones like AE. If you want constant sunshine there are plenty of places for that. I like the mix we have here.

Not really, it was just the way it went down that pissed people off. Missing top prospects is going to happen, that's inevitable and everybody understands that. Missing all top prospects at a key position for multiple years running when at one time we were in very good shape for many of them is not acceptable is going to be a very serious problem for this program in the very near future if it's not rectified immediately.

There is still hope a good season can save us but right now we are in bad shape on the interior of the defensive line looking past next season.

Interesting, I feel the same way but apparently from a totally different point of view.

I'm cool with it. I get annoyed when we turn recruiting news into pages of how much our staff sucks and how far we're behind but it could be worse I suppose

Good point but it seems like whether it's melting over staff or spewing rainbows out of our anuses (ani??) the recruiting thread always manages to go off in tangents.

If true, then some of us are doing our jobs. Balance and stuff

I have always been a person of reality. When you miss on someone that you really wanted, you just missed on them and that sucks. No need to try and turn it into something good. Same when someone who could have helped leaves. Its bad

We really do not know how Crowell or Blakely would have done at Auburn. Their path could have beet totally different. Just because they were busts at their respective schools, does not mean it would have happened here.

Personally, I think a lot of you guys use Randy as a scape goat. Most of what he says is legit but its easy to vent on him.

Randy Savage is the Recruiting board whipping boy.

I have to admit. In the past few years, I was most touched wrong by Yeldon and Foster.

In the end it worked out but both of them touched me in my special place

I completely forgot about Blakely. I really wanted him out of high school. He looked like a stud.

Yeldon and Evans are the one that got me because it was obvious they knew they were F'ing over Auburn and did it purposely.

Guys like Foster, Calloway, Koundjio (sp?) were just too stupid to even know what they were doing and I give Foster a pass because that was after the coaching staff change.
