Muchamp sucks, should have kept Johnson then we could have got Rochester. We blow, just shut down the program.

Will our recruiting ranking drop in the 40's before we pick up another commit

Probably not (our * average is relatively high). If I had the time I used to have, I could chart and display a significant trend of recruits committing later and later in the process.

A lot of fans speculate this is a result of recruits wanting more spotlight and attention. This is the case for some guys. But this shift has been driven by coaches more than anyone. They want to evaluate kids during summer camps and determine whether or not instruction provided produces results during their senior season. Before, coaches only put borderline kids through these hurdles but now that recruiting is an industry and fans can know more about recruits than their parents do it puts pressure on teams to get the right guys.

So part of our commitment # reflects that trend. But we've missed on a few early guys that are making a noticeable difference. I would expect that half of our committments for this upcoming class will be collected by the end of August. We'll get 5 on NSD or the week of as usual. And the remaining 7-8 will come during the football season.

Auburn recruiting is a last minute grab every year. We are not a state school and are competing with Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Texas AM and Florida for the top recruits.

Winner

Reality is we will never blow the doors off recruiting. Makes what our coaches do more impressive when we are ranked top 10.

I saw on the BCW Q/A with Keith yesterday that he expects at least two commitments this weekend (hopefully Stove finally commits), so probably unlikely.

Was asked recently who I compare four-star recruit Antwuan Jackson to. Easy answer; Geno Atkins. Same build, same motor, same intensity.

Assistant coaches from Auburn, Florida, Georgia and Miami are expected in Gainesville High Friday night as Winter Garden (Fla.) West Orange comes to town for their spring game. West Orange features current Florida offensive tackle commit Stone Forsythe. However, the main draw for most are uncommitted wide receiver Eddie McDoom and quarter Woody Barrett.

The 5-foot-11, 170-pound McDoom is a speedy slot with a host of offers. The 6-foot-2, 220-pound Barrett will be making his commitment next Wednesday, where many believe he will be picking Auburn.

You ever see a beautiful mind and the scene at the bar how hitting on the hottest girl statistically is in your favor since no one does it?

Well Auburn tries to disprove that theory every year in recruiting

I must have missed it but Brodarius Hamm committed to UT? I thought we were heavy favorites?

I think we were. He was too short though.

And we don't have something cool like "Brick by Brick".

It's not that you're rustled. It is just that you are a dbag. But you probably picked up on that with all those downvotes.

Back to lurking.
