Wasn't really going out on a limb saying the kid from NC whose AAU teammate is going to NC State is going to sign there It does have me slightly worried that we don't have a lot of depth at the 4/5 for the 2016+ seasons
I realize Bruce's full court play and previous teams weren't low post grinders and at times undersized. That said, we would be struggling to get a rotation going at the 4/5 even when including potential stretch 4s if we don't get something
For reference 2016 players for the 4/5
Stretch 4:
6'6 Danjel Purifoy
6'7 TJ Lang? (Would need some serious weight)
4/5:
6'8 Horace Spencer
7'2 Trayvon Reed? (May not even come back)
6'7 Anfernee McLemore

Quotes / Notes from BP last night in Dothan.
We're ahead of where we were a year ago.
From a teaching standpoint I'm able to be a little more advanced with this group. Even though we have 7 new guys
We're bigger, stronger, faster, more athletic.
We lost 4 good senior guards last year.
We may not shoot the ball quite as well as we did last year, but we'll be able to rebound and defend better.
We'll be improved at pg with Canty"

Not saying much

Well he isn't having to unteach the "Barbee magic losing formula"

I'd hope considering a walkon 6'5 C played serious minutes

We lost KT Harrell and some other players who played hard

You can't replace a KT Harrell shooter. You can replace a Devin Waddell at C for rebounding

Sorry Kenneth

Yep
We will definitely be a lot more athletic this year, with the ability to get to the rim more. Hopefully won't have to rely on the 3 as much this year, which will allow us to choose better shots out there, which should help make up for not being as good of shooters from range.

Will just be nice to see our guys look less like Gene Hackman's Hoosiers team

First day nationally you can practice is Friday so I believe it probably would be in the next week or so

I'm pumped to watch Bryce Brown. I think he's going to be really good. Has a really good shot. I don't see how he slipped through the cracks like he did.

Bryce Brown has been pretty dirty by all accounts. I'm stoked to see him live in action.
The guy that I think will be the most interesting to watch is TJ Lang. He easily was the most improved player last year. After starting the season lost & tripping over himself, he ended up being an aggressive defender/hustle guy who could hit the occasional 3. Lang is extremely athletic and could be the perfect 3&D type player on the wing

On New's Instagram, he said today was the first official day of practice. I guess Bruce doesn't want to waste any time.

I think everyone on our team will be in shape this season save the walk-ons and Waddell.

He looks skinny. We will be pushed around all year. /sarcasm font.
