We picked a good time to score 119.

I want to buy into AU bball. I'm definitely excited about the direction the program is trending, I've just been let down so many times in the past. It's getting harder to temper my expectations though.

Buy in. I'm not saying we'll make the tournament, but Bruce is making us better. That's all we can ask for at this point. We have a good variety of players, but still missing a good big man. Either way, we'll be fun to watch.

We have players who can compete, a coach who can get them motivated to play together and fans who are excited.

We may be far from Kentucky level competitive, but we are becoming relevant .

Finally got around to updating the OP.

We should win at Coastal Carolina on Wednesday. They're 3-3 with losses to Hawaii (hey Jack Purchase), Nevada, and Campbell. Only win against a D1 opponent comes against College of Charleston who doesn't have a good win themselves.

I don't know what Ellis is doing scheduling Grace Bible and Piedmont International. They beat Piedmont International 116-35.... :roflmao:

This is a team we match-up really well with. Their two tallest players are 6'9" true freshmen. If we can keep Shivaughn Wiggins and Elijah Wilson in check and rebound the ball we win. They return 3 starters from last year's team and their two leading scorers from our game last year are gone.

Offensively we will be fine. No more of those 6-8 minute stretches where we miss every shot like we did last year and under Barbee. So we will at least be watchable. How the defense develops will determine if we finish in the upper half of the SEC.

Semi good news on Tahj. He is only expected to miss 1 game. The bad news is if it happens again he is probably out the rest of the year and possibly done for good.

Sounds like he should sit more than one game IMO

Damn. He gone. And meanwhile the NW Ala Law School beat Wichita and Notre Dame. Can't they just suck for a while and let us kick their asses?

They beat a severely handicapped WSU who's lost 4 games already.

Yea Wichita is no good this year, but the ND win is a big one. But that's a game Grant could have won last year too. They've always had decent talent, just haven't put it together. And I don't think they will with Avery.

They've looked like Jekyll and Hyde this year. Too early to say what will happen under Avery but I feel better about our program's standing

I don't see how it doesn't happen again. It's already popped out about 3 times this year.

I admire the eff out of Tahj. Tough as effin' nails.

But, damn, I think he gone.

Hey now. Don't put that bad mojo on me. I didn't change it to Tahj until after he re-injured his shoulder before the season started.

Yeah but it's been dinged twice now since. Better safe than sorry.
