247 article has Ellis talking about switching McKinzey and Frost for a few weeks in spring to see what happens. I hope it sticks. As long as McKinzey can make the calls in the middle, I think he's more of an ILB and Frost needs to be on the outside.

I feel like I saw this posted in another thread a while back, but Johnson says McKinzey is physically about the most talented LB he's coached. Said if it wasn't for his inconsistencies, he'd be a 20 tackle a game type player. I'd really like to see the light come on for him and he takes over the MLB spot and let Frost use his speed on the outside.

It goes on to say that Swain and Mitchell are probably next in line, then Flowers and Toney, who says he's up to 245 lbs. Mitchell will miss most, if not all, of spring due to foot surgery.

And Garrett expects to be 100% for spring. Maybe he moves in and takes Mitchell's spot on the outside? I'd like to see him and Therezie rotate at star.

I want Mitchell and Garrett to stay healthy a full cycle. That way we can say how great they were or how bad they were. Tired of what might have been.

You forgot to mention how unselfish Garrett is being.

This would only be the second year anyone has done that, so sure, if that's what you want to do.

Cass McKinzy is the best linebacker Auburn has had since Tray Blackmon. I realize that may not be saying much, but he has all the tools to be the next great one. We saw the flashes his true freshman year against Vandy, and we saw some consistency last year as the WLB. I wouldn't be surprised to see a large tackle increase if he moved to MLB.
