Be nice if we were in the East...

Saw a graphic on ESPN yesterday that showed where there top 300 or 250 came from this year (2013). 50 were from Texas, 80+ were from GA/FL, 12 were from AL.

We have success in GA and FL, we will be in good shape. Not advocating ignoring AL at all. Just saying that those two states each produce triple what AL does and we traditionally do well in both.

That's what I'm saying.

I think this staff will do a better job identifying instate guys who are serious about AU and not waste resources on the others.

Alabama is a small pool compared to Georgia and Florida, which AU should be well prepared to battle in. Garner in Georiga and Craig in Florida will be tough to deal with for any school.

Former AU linebacker Karibi Dede is the new head coach of Woodbridge Senior High School in Woodbridge, VA - his alma mater and home of 5* DE Da'Shawn Hand.

Karibi was a defensive quality control assistant during the 2011 season and linebackers coach for Auburn High School. He has a doctorate in higher education.

and Craig in Florida

Craig has much stronger connections in Alabama than he does in Florida. With him on the staff we can really battle in-state. The numbers will always be skewed due to how highly perceived Alabama is right now; but they are so full right now that we should be able to win a few battles by selling the depth chart situations. Dont forget that they also lost Pruitt to Florida State, and he was a very significant instate recruiter for them. Pruitt will likely try to play Craig's role at FSU in trying to steal some kids away from both AU/UA, but I feel strongly about Craig's pull in this state.

Both. Dede should get a "Right Reverand Peaches" type fee to keep an eye on him until we receive the fax LOI

Priority wise what do ya'll consider to be of most important next season? For me its...

1. DT - Adams was a huge pickup but only him and Nero will be underclassmen DTs next season. There seems to be a solid group of tackles this cycle. I want me some Elisha Shaw for sure....

2. LB - I feel like we say this every year but we need to pick up 2 stud LBs. Hamilton and Williams would be a solid combo

3. CB - Sucks we missed on Mackenzie. IMO we need to get a big time CB if possible. Not sure we have a lock down corner on roster right now

With both AL and GA stacked with talent this season and Garner/Craig tandem having a full season to recruit we should do well this cycle. I think if we produce on the field we got an outside shot at a top 5 class. But probably every team feels that way the day after signing day

the combo of us adding Craig and Bama losing Pruitt should really improve our presence in the Mobile area.... will be interesting to see how well Pruitt does of recruiting Mobile while at FSU.

Defense again. And we definitely need more offensive lineman in this class, I guess around 4.
