Meh. Team is still playing with fire. Play calling is awful. I still see flashes of brilliance and think this crew can be something, so I'm not calling for Gus' head. With a healthy SW we win that game in spades.

If I were AD, I would give him the Al Golden treatment. He would be walking out today. I would promote Champ as interim and tell him "Win the rest of the games and you're guaranteed the job." Of course, he wouldn't win every game, so he wouldn't get the job.
I would then begin researching candidates today and would start working the phones tomorrow.
What we'll get in reality is another year of this shite next season, then fire Gus at the end of the season (so basically a wasted year). Then JJ will hire another loser.
JJ needs to go and the football program needs to be completely wiped clean.

Right, a team that works hard isn't necessarily a team that pulls the win. But that culture is intrinsically good, and you have to foster it. We still have it. It sucks, ultimately we have to see results, but its something we can work off of.

it is obvious that Gus is behind. Not sure if he is cut out for big boy SEC.

With the exception of LSU, we are one play away from winning all of those games. We were one play away from some big losses in 2013 as well. The team is playing hard and improving. I think we are a recruiting class away from being good again.

It sucks. Not a great situation all around. Top recruiting classes, underdeveloped players, questionable play-calling. Not sure what will happen with recruiting going forward. We absolutely cannot continue the cycle of cleaning house every year, as no one will come here.

Don't sweat it. Gus says we can play with anybody and everyone can see that.

That said, we are clearly not getting the most out of the talent on our roster. And that's all on the HC and his staff.
Still think Gustav has the tools to be a solid SEC HC. But today reminded me how far he is from that right now.

Play calling sucking is the answer. Kids are battling. Lots of youth and injuries. Defense took a step forward today with return of Carl.
