Someone on 680 (Chernoff maybe?) seemed to strongly hint at the presence of someone in Atlanta who was very interested in trying to bring hockey back to Atlanta. He wouldn't say anything else about the topic other than how it was an individual with Atlanta ties. Not sure if he was trolling or not.

I don't think you will see the NHL back in Atlanta for two reasons.
1) The board of governors won't want to vote to allow a third team here after losing both the Flames and Thrashers.
2) Where would they play? The Braves moved OTP to be closer to season ticket holders, and I would think that hockey fans would be even more suburbanite than baseball fans, and less likely to make a trip into town. Gwinnett Arena is too small, and who would be willing to build an NHL level facility somewhere on the north side?

Went to one game, I laid down and fell asleep on some empty seats. Glad that stain is gone from my city.

Just use Phillips again. With management that actually cares we could get good attendance numbers
