Usually I'd agree with you, I'm not often the type to panic this soon, but he has absolutely no clue how to hit a decent slider and his pitch anticipation is actually getting worse. There are just no positive signs to his game right now, that's why I'm concerned. Some time in AAA would be good for him at this point, plus it would allow them to get a bigger sample size for evaluating Camargo's potential.

Will the grand slam be worth extra cash in the trade?

Braves just won the first two against a team who had won 31/35 coming into this series. Of course these dumbasses would get to .500, get swept by a fellow .500 team and then take the first two on the road against the best team in baseball. Braves can never get over .500. That's the next hump.

It's a process. I never thought 2017 was a breakthrough. It was just a step forward. This is a 80-85 win team.

That was a drunk ramble. This has actually been a fun team to watch. I'm ready to see some of the kids come up to the bigs though.

Dansby can hit .150 this year with 30 errors and fans will yell he is just a rookie give him a chance.

Why take pleasure in his struggles? Very strange imo.

Is it strange that the fan base wants a non producing player to start everyday instead of a player that is hitting well

Yeah it really is strange that fans might want this young former #1 overall pick to continue to get reps everyday even if he struggles, especially when you consider that the team has no realistic shot at the playoffs.

Quit while you're behind.

Who wants that? I want him to go to AAA and get at bats and figure it out. I certainly haven't given up on him and declared him a bust, though.

Well, we'll find out if he can start hitting.....in Gwinnett.

The timing of that is stupid. After a day where he goes 2-4. But whatever. Camargo can hold down shortstop and between Freddie, Sean, and Adams they can work something out at 1st/3rd.

On a different note, Gwinnett has a stacked roster.

We need to trade Phillips and allow Dansby and Johan the ability to play every day in Atlanta, but if we are going to keep him around I am more than ok with this.

- Johan needs to play a lot and we need to evaluate what we have there. He's clearly a MLB player, but our scouts and FO need time to determine if we truly think he is a MLB starter or more of a utility guy. The only way to do that is a bigger sample size at the MLB level

- Dansby needs to play everyday. I don't care if it in Atlanta or Lawrenceville. He needs everyday reps. He's young, he has minimal college/pro experience compared to most others and playing every 4th day is a fvckin disaster.

I agree 100% he needs to be playing everyday and getting as many ABs as possible but why designate him literally 4 hours after going 2-4 and scoring 2 of the 3 runs. Do it last week not after he might finally have broken through

The timing is bad, but probably because Snitker would go right back to playing musical chairs tomorrow and not playing him everyday......because Adams needs to play against righties and Freeman is always playing and Camargo needs to play. So, it's down to Phillips and Swanson, and Snit ain't sitting Phillips (who has been playing well, obviously, but he's muddling things).

They should have done it a week ago, but now they had to do something. My guess is they made the decision before the game today.

Am I the only one that's noticed Dansby has seen a little passive? Not much emotion going through this terrible slump.

I like though that his defense hasn't been affected during his 2-infinity
