Good deal for him and for us. Can't wait to watch him disrespect people this year.

Smart to get this done before Bell got paid.

Glad they got this done before the season. Didn't want to have to listen to Uncle Luke's wife anymore.

Pretty hefty tag. Oy.
Glad it's a 5 year deal though and not a 4 yr deal.

Hopefully it's front loaded. Dimitroff is a fricknut, but he's good at numbers.

Bell wants qb money. Injury prone and already suspended twice that will be a big gamble

Does this signal that we should enjoy the Freeman/Coleman duo while we can? I don't see how this leaves room for TeCo after his rookie contract expires.

Colemans as good as gone. If TD pays Coleman as well, stick a fork in it. Our window will be super short then we'll plummet.

Yea I see zero chance we sign Coleman after this. Next two years will be securing Matthews and Beasley to long term deals. Can't give Coleman the money he deserves and stay competitive long. Use that extra cap space to add depth to D or OL.

Also, hope Matt Ryan will take a lesser contract in 2019.

I doubt Ryan takes a "lesser" contract, but I'm sure it will be structured in such a way to give the team flexibility. I'm not going to sit here and pretend like I know what I'm talking about in regards to the NFL cap and how the contracts apply towards that cap, but I'm sure they can do something.

And yeah, I think this pretty much tells me that Coleman will play out his rookie contract in Atlanta and then move on (similar to Michael Turner in SD). It wouldn't surprise me to see the Falcons draft another RB in the next 2 years to serve as that new 2nd RB.

Been in baseball mode too much this summer and really was trying to figure out what position Freddie was gonna possibly play.
