It's like South Carolina talking shite to Alabama because they lost in the National Title game.

Yeah only if South Carolina had won a championship and Alabama had never won anything... Then it would be the same LOL Alabama actually won national titles and are a powerhouse, Atlanta has never won anything... The fact that you tried to compare the two is a joke... The Cleveland Browns won as many championships as y'all have the last 10 years.

Fun Fact: Saints are 15-7 vs the Falcons since Drew Brees came to Nola

Fun fact: ATL has won 4 of the last 6.

Most of New Orleans' wins against ATL were 4+ years ago. The NFL is a what have you done for me lately league and you're team is known as the 7-and-9ers for a reason.

You can only live on the "we won a super bowl" mantra for so long and that shite is clearly getting long in the tooth. You sound EXACTLY like an old Alabama fan pre-saban. "Well we suck currently but we got 12 national championships", rabble rabble rabble.

The best part is I KNOW I'm right. I live in NOLA and I hear the Saints fans grumbling and them talk about it on WWL and the local media here.

Fun Fact: With 9:00 left in the 4th quarter Atlanta had a 99.6% chance of winning the game, I guess that's why they play until the end... I don't think y'all understand this completely, y'all didn't just lose the Super Bowl, it was the biggest collapse in Super Bowl history and it will be remembered as that for years, the moment was just too big for Atlanta.

In my mind we just need to do like the '72 Dolphins and get back to it and win this time. I believe were the Falcons able to that this year, it would be the only time since the '72 dolphins. That would be thr ultimate redemption and would really take some of that collapse bitterness away.

Yea we all very much understand.

We also know that we are positioned as one of the 3-4 most talented teams in the NFL and have setup a roster that will give us a chance to hopefully go back and redeem ourselves.

And we also know the Saints have gone 7-9 the last 3 years and basically everyone in football media sees more of the same next year.

So, congrats?

Original.
Also, I don't really care to be honest. We lost the super bowl. I personally would have preferred to lose in the manner we did than get blown out 45-24 or something.

We lost. We'll deal with it.
Stop overplaying the dramatics but congrats since you're clearly a Patriots fan, right?

ETA: Based on the deviation of the last 3 years, the Saints have a 100% chance of going 7-9 again.

Y'all got as much of a chance as Lloyd did of scoring that girl LOL but realistically Atlanta won't even make the playoffs. Just like Carolina last year.

Saints went 7-9 and 8-8 the previous seasons before we won the Super Bowl, as you went 8-8 before you ended up losing the Super Bowl... you can't go off of previous years for upcoming seasons because anything can happen realistically... it's so hard to get to the big game you're always going to have to have things go your way to even get there... That's why when you do get there you must capitalize on it.

Mind expanding on that? What about our roster as it stands today suggests we miss the playoffs?

I agree, that previous years aren't a great indicator for how a team will fare year to year.

But while you make that argument, you predict us to finish last in the NFC South. Not based on anything tangible. But because the Panthers were so bad the year after they lost the Super Bowl.

So not only are you predicting the Falcons season based on a previous season(s). You're making that prediction based on ANOTHER TEAM.

Saints fans come get your mans please.

I don't really know who is melting here other than you.

- The Super Bowl was awful and possibly the worst loss in American sports history

- The Falcons have basically the entire roster back and have been ranked by almost every publication as one of the Top 3-4 most talented rosters in the NFL, with a coaching staff in year 3 and a defense that started almost half rookies last season.

Laughing at our Super Bowl loss is totally acceptable and understandable. Acting like we will now suck is, well, really stupid. But have at it I guess.

Has made zero points or arguments backed up by anything remotely tangible.

That's not how this works. I will agree that you don't have anything legitimate to say. I will disagree that the Falcons will finish last in the South because the Panthers also did that one time.

2016-2017 NFL offensive rankings

Saints led the league in total offense last year, and have had Brees lead the league in passing the last 3 years and 7 of the last 11 seasons. When it's all said and done Brees will likely be the all time leader in almost every passing statistic. What hurts the saints is their play on the defensive side of the ball, if we can field just an average defense this year we will be very good

5000 yd seasons:

Drew Brees - 5
The rest of the history of the NFL - 4
