No....our Defense kept us in this game.
Going into this game, it was expected that it would be very hard to run the ball against the Bama Defense.
We needed Allen and the passing game to carry the offense tonight and....they didn't. plain and simple.
It was a hard assignment but our only chance.

the game was over on the 80 yard pass play. lol if you think the fake punt was the difference. had to try something

The kid takes screen passes a helluva lot further than slowass Morgan who can't read blocking on a screen to save his life

Yeah at that point...its just roll the dice time.
Also, 4th and 1....I would have punted it too. We had the lead and their front 7 was controlling the line of scrimmage. Keep with what was working and play field position.
Defense is coming around, I feel much better going further.

Stat of the night: Our longest carry was 8 yards. By BA.

my point enemy....
BA kept the game alive when several times our WR's were covered as could be..
He used his feet tonight, and he took some licks. I gained a bit of respect for his effort tonight.
Perhaps I am alone in this...

We really have got to find a way to stretch the field vertically.
Right now our passing game is only short and intermediate.

Disappointed in the OL.
Defense is playing at a high level we just pretty defanged on offense. Injuries part of it but I'm not sure how much difference it would make.
There were no holes

They need to send the OL back to coach and give first class to the DL.

Meh....I expected them to struggle against Bama. Just a bad matchup.

BA played like no one was open. Most times they probably weren't but you can't tell on TV much of the time.
I didn't see a lot of separation.
We could use Cornelius

I'm wondering if we'll ever stretch the field again with an attempt deep. Like... At all.

There were recievers open....just not way open.
That's Allen's problem. Just doesn't have the confidence to pull the trigger when the game is close.
That and when we need a big play his accuracy goes to shite. (one hopped another to a wide open Sprinkle in the 4th Quarter. )

Which would have been a TD.

You dickwads need to shut the frick up and let him play a season with his squad that isn't destroyed by injuries. Last week he suddenly wasn't so bad. This week he needs to get fired again. The team is improving every week and that's obvious. Kids that had no business playing this year are growing before our eyes and you dumbasses want to fire him because we didn't win an away game against Alafrickingbama. Go root for another team you fairweather fricks. We've still got cancerous leftovers from Petrino on top of losing roughly 70% of our potential offensive output to injuries within two weeks of the season. Just take this season for what it is and shut the hell up. /rant
So much fail in this

i get people melting and not being happy- i totally get that but i don't get it being due or because of the bama game.
even if we had been playing well and winning as was predicted in the preseason, i still wouldn't have expected to beat bama at bama or even really thought the game to be any closer (for 3 qtrs) than it was.

Struggling is one thing. The way our Oline played last Saturday was beyond struggling. That was piss poor. Struggling would have been if Collins and Williams would have combined for just over 100 yards. Lsu will STRUGGLE against bama but will still run for at least 100 yards. What we did was pathetic. If we are a run based football team and hope to have any type of success against the best in college football you've gotta believe we can muster at least 75 yards for our top tailback. I'm still sick from our offensive line play saturday.
