So we all have ideas of who we want or who might take the job but bielama was on nobody's radar when we hired him. If you had to take a shot at who another left field hire would be who would you guess.I say Steve sarkisian, One drunk for another. I'd hate this btw I m ever thought he was that good at Washington

Calling out the potential for an out of nowhere name is actually a pretty good thought.

When talking purely about a hypothetical out of left field hire, my money would be on a P5 guy who's had some success but has somewhat flown under the radar to a degree.

For some reason, Bronco Mendenhall at Virginia (formerly of BYU) comes to mind.

Yes.

Let's get another totally random dude with zero ties to the state, the SEC recruiting base and basically anything else in general to our crap hole state.

We're going to find a way to frick this up. Trust me.

I'd like to see what Dino Babers could do here. He made a mistake in taking the Syacuse job IMO. if he'd had one or two more good years at Bowling Green, he probably would have got a much better job.

And yes please on Kyke Whittingham. Those Utah teams are fun to watch and he is doing a good job competing against much better on-paper talent in the Pac-12.

I mentioned Dino the other day when talking with a few of my friends about the opening. The man can cover a spread.

I don't want it at all. Just citing that he's an example of an out of left field type of hire who would check a few of Long's boxes.

Kim Dameron or Tim Horton

With all the rumors about wanting a former Razorback those two fit the bill as well as being totally left field hires.

No troll from me. Just some low level bullshite that I've been hearing. I don't think it's anything but wishful thinking from a weird subset of fans. Horton has family in the area and they would love for him to come back "home".

You have to remember that we have patches of fans who stay loyal to coaches (Gus and Nutt) despite them not being a part of the program. Believe it or not, there are fans who want Nutt to be our AD right now.
