Whenever it is. I assume it will be to the nfl. His speech upon landing there will be shockingly similar to the one he gave about coming here.

If it's to another college program I doubt it's anything but a step down.

I bet he's here a while. He's a more natural fit here than he is for just about anywhere else, and we can pay whatever he wants. The NFL might come calling but I'm hoping Jen gets preggo soon so he has incentive to stay

I give him 2-4 more seasons and then he's gone to NFL, Iowa, Florida State, or Notre Dame.

I'm basically OK with most scenarios involving him leaving. I figure it'll either be:

A) He gets fired because of consistent lackluster results.

B) He does really well (but not well enough to win the SEC/NC) and gets hired away by one of the half a dozen or so schools that could have whoever they wanted just by sheer wealth.

C) He does achieve his goal and wins the SEC and/or NC and moves to the next challenge.

D) He goes to the NFL. Who can really fault a man for that?

I'll really only be upset if it's a situation like Wisconsin has gone through the past couple of coaches. They got jilted twice - once for a school that was quite clearly inferior. That's just incredibly embarrassing.

I don't think there are any lifer coaches anymore. It's a mindset kind of like marriage.

This.

Razorback football head coaches don't leave unless they're told to.

it will be a while, this is his first real head coaching job, doing it his way, without the subjection to an overlord.

If successful, watch out.. if not....?
