When do we start questioning Robb Smith?

Defense looked like trash in the second half.
Giving up 20 to La. Tech.
Getting eaten alive by Texas Tech last year and losing in embarrassing fashion.
Allowing Auburn to come back last year and take us to OT, ditto for TCU.
We haven't been the same since Philon, Flowers and Spaight left.

Of all the things to address this game, you go for the defense? We need linebackers. That's it. Our defense was salty as frick until our offense decided to give A&M short fields all 2nd half.

We'll never have good enough talent to have a good defense paired with an offense that does something other than okay straight ball control. It is what it is.

Our defense had 95+ yard fields a few times and got roasted in the second half.

We gave up the same fricking TD run to Knight TWICE.

It's like our fans give Robb Smith a pass for life because of the top 10 defense in 2014.

I will agree that I have given him a sort of pass for last year because of 2014 but I always said that he needs to go if our defense doesn't greatly improve this year. Still way to early but we have seen this team play some great defense in certain halfs. Obviously that is not enough though.

Ellis has always been bad, but I'd rather not bash the kid because he's played his heart out for us. I'd rather bash the end around on 4th and goal with 6 inches to go or allowing them the QB runs that we did.
