Only losses were Navy and Wisconsin... Two clearly better teams. He did lose to Buffalo, but stopped a 9 yr losing streak to Middle Tennessee last week.

He's also now 42 yrs old and not the cocky, boy wonder anymore... Plus he has no leverage anymore. He's been humbled by Saban and learned from many past mistakes.

He can also recruit his balls off and oh yeah, he has Arkansas ties and vast SEC experience. I would've thought it was insanity even a year ago, but Kiffin with his wide open offense could actually work at Arkansas. Not saying it'd be Bobby and his 2010-2011 run, but it could be close and man we would get some attention... He would instantly raise the profile of the team and make many games must watch affairs.

You gotta figure Kiffin can pull at least 2 5 stars a year out of Florida and/or Texas, right?

Sound good to me.

Houston won 8 games 6 times in 10 yrs and 9 or more 4 times in those 6 seasons.

Maybe we should just bring him back.

I'd be ok with him. He wanted the job back when we got Bobby

I say at worst he'd get 1 5 star dude basically every year and big handfull of 4 star guys. He's also super tight with Ed O. so when he gets fired next year... Guess who the new recruiting coordinator would be??

He's recruited heavily in the South for damn bear a decade and knows all of 5ge West Coat to possibly cherry pick a guy here and there. I know it's iffy with him, but the contract details on his perosnal actions and built-in "take another job" penalty could be enormous.

It's not quite Petrino going back to Louisville where he literally would've paid them to coach there, but it's close.

Man... The Alabama week vs Saban would be incredible from a media standpoint.

The more I think about this, the more I love it.

The Ed O thing is a great thought...

Is his brother going to get caught up in the oM stuff?

With the right protection in the contract, he would be a great hire. Fun football would be back. hmmm

I might be drunk but I'm kinda for it. Dude could scheme around this O line right now. Would give us a name recognition coach.

No and no, the guy has showed zero loyalty anywhere he has been. If he had a ten win season here he would be gone post haste.

I like parts of this idea, hate some others. He would bring some excitement to the state/fanbase and recruit pretty well, along with a decent offense. I don't want Orgeron near this program in any capacity other than just recruiting dudes, so that idea would be cool with me.

We'd also catch some major shite from our fellow SEC brethren and Long isn't hiring someone that's not squeaky clean or could leave him high and dry like Petrino 2.0. Just won't happen.

Bonus: We'd also probably be on Tosh.0 regularly since he loves to do "Kiffin's Korner" and poke fun at them looking alike.

Bert has more negatively impacted his job security than Petrino

His stupid arse tweets have negatively impacted it more than both of those coaches combined.
