They are 1-1 and they play FGCU tonight.

Lost to Minny by 17.

Scott Cross has presided over the most successful era in Maverick Basketball since taking over the program in 2006. Cross has compiled a record of 177-139 over 10 seasons. Of the top five seasons in UT Arlington history, Cross has coached the best three.

The Mavericks have gone to the postseason four times under his watch, including back-to-back trips in 2011-12 and 2012-13. That marked the first consecutive postseasons in program history. Over that two-year span, only two of Texas' 21 Division I programs had more wins than the Mavericks' 43.

They Will Usually Play 12 guys. 6 guys play 15+ minutes.

Should be a good test for the team against a solid opponent.

I really like this game.

They are a team that rotates a lot of players so we can't just wear out their starters and call it a night. This is a team just good enough to make us have to work to earn it, but one that we have a clear talent advantage over so we should win it.

We can work on our half court sets for offense and defense and get some solid time in for our bench.

Fgcu pulls ahead in the 2nd half for a win. Uta shot 28% in the 2nd half.

Mike's suitcase didn't include half court sets so don't count on this.

Nice comeback win after a rocky start. This team doesn't give up, down by 17 at one point and they win by 4. Great game for building team chemistry and now we won't overlook anyone.

Was good to see barford step up. Beard too. Defense has a ways to go, but looked pretty good in the 2nd.

Beard was huge tonight. Those two threes he had late saved the game.

Glad to see them fight back and pull a 25 pt swing and hold on for the win.

Yeah even though it was "just" UT-Arlington, the fact that they fought back from a big deficit and won is huge. Outscored them 40-25 in the second half.
