Watching the game last night I couldn't help but notice just how great the overall production value of an Alabama home game was.

The band sounded like a Hollywood symphony, the stadium lighting was A-plus, the video boards and ribbon looked dynamic and incredible, and of course the GRASS field was was great.
The camera angles (which is a direct result of how a stadium is built) we're all NFL-like also.

Even with a massively inferior opponent and a blowout game, the stadium was buzzing with life. They even alluded to this after a commercial, apparently Bama has massive "sing alongs" during breaks.

All this made me want to go to a game there, especially at night. I know the NEZ will help the atmosphere tremendously at Arkansas, but just don't think most AD's understand that the TV production value of a game goes a long long way...whether it be recruiting or attendence etc.

I do think Nutt knew this though, just look at some old games from around 2006 or so. Tbe field had a fricking hedgerow! It was awesome. There also hogs painted in the 20 yd lines and 9f course those were the best uni's in tbe last 30 yrs.

I remember folks freaked the frick out when we added the Hogs to the field because it broke tradition.

There was a hog at midfield when the stadium had astroturf, it looked like shite, Frank hated it, and the "tradition" of not having it started soon after...
