But by gosh I will always chuckle when I think about the day Dick Davenport fell to the biggest troll job since that kid faked signing with Cal.

Pennamon to Arkansas!

I have decided that I will no longer put an ounce of stock in what our recruiting guys say. Their job is to create excitement and buzz around potential recruits. I believe a lot of the hype they create is nothing but false hope. Basically, as long as there's ANY chance of a recruit choosing Arkansas, they're going to claim that the guy is "leaning toward" Arkansas, even if that's clearly not the case (Fulton).

All in all, the only real disappointment to me today was Putu. That was a freaking smack in the face because, really, he probably wouldn't have been on anyone's map if we hadn't offered him. Instead of dancing with the one who brung you, he chose a prettier girl, and yeah... it hurts.

You just now figuring this out? Those guys don't know shite!!! And it creates disappointment because it builds false hope. Fans then get all pissed about who we "missed" on and forget about who we got. Trust me. If everyone went into a coma at the beginning of the season then woke up to our top 25 class featuring Agim and Whaley, they'd be ecstatic. I think we signed a solid class considering the last few years and we lost our o-line coach who most likely quit on us long before he left. And frick Putu. I'd make damn sure to put some hats on his arse come next year if I were suiting up. Probably won't amount to shite anyway.

Sounds like another year where completely ignoring recruiting has paid off for me.
