This team looks to be the most all around talented team I've seen since Nolan days. Everyone looks like a basketball player, everyone can handle the ball and seem to understand spacing etc., which has not been the case in a long time. For years now, we've had guys out there that look like they have never played. I think we can be really good on D if we put it together.

That being said, Mike has no rhyme or reason to his substitutions, we don't work the ball down to Moses at all, he's being completely wasted. And, as always we get out coached in every aspect, especially on inbounds plays whether they be on offense or defense.

I don't see us making the tourney, once again, and I have to wonder how much longer we'll let Mike not make the tourney and keep his job.

All we need to be successful this year is for our guards to attack the basket. That and run the pick and roll with Moses or one of our other big men.

We have shooters all across the floor, and our guards have the talent to get to the basket with ease. Kick outs will be there all day long.

They just have to learn to play together and it will be fun to watch.

I was impressed with Beard. He attacked way better than he used to. I agree that our guards are good enough to compete, but we don't work the ball inside at all, and thus, good teams will take away the 3 and we lose.

I'll make a judgement after the game tomorrow night.

It's hard to make a judgement after one game, but we are so irrelevant that we can't even get on tv in 2016. After watching one game in person, we have good players, but that's not enough in college ball

I've been to BWA for every home game. If we beat Houston decisively, then we should head into SEC play with 1 loss.

ND State and Sam Houston St. have 4 wins between the two programs. Texass has only beat 1 team with a pulse, Bama at Texass.

I actually think there's no way we don't make the tournament. We can shoot all over the floor. As long as we feed Moses in the post to keep teams honest, we should be flying high this year.

My prediction is this team wins 25+ game, challenges Kentucky for the regular season and SEC Tourney titles and all the while people are still bitching about losing to Minnesota.

Meanwhile as they will let you know they can't wait for yet another season of disappointment starting in the spring.

Well said. We have had so many athletes with horrible basketball IQ over the past few years. This team actually has basketball players. I like the potential.

We've got literally 6 players or so who could easily go for 20 on any night. It'll be fun to watch this year. I thought Thomas was gonna be a wasted scholarship when he got here, but he's proved wrong so far

I think this here is why we this team needs a few more games to gel. Last year, roles were pretty defined. We had two shooters, moses and pg who got pretty good at distributing to them.

Barford and Macon could stand to be alittle more selfish offensively, which Barford already is figuring out.

The only thing that bothers me about Thomas is he will let frustration cause him to commit a stupid foul.

No reason Arkansas should have more than two losses prior to SEC play. Hesitant on Texas game just because it isn't at home.

Moses needs to figure out how to involve himself more and be more aggressive on the offensive boards. With this line up, offensive rebounds are going to be where he gets his points. I also hope we when do have a bad night shooting, they try to feed him more. There will be a cold night, every team has them.

Hopefully the performance of the last game will continue. That was their best showing this year and I thought we looked very good. I also would like to see more of CJ. I really like that kid. Nice stroke and has a NBA build to him.

I really haven't gotten a good look at them but I really think this team will be playing their best ball by Feb/March as they gel. Lots of athleticism and looks like plenty of shooters. could be the start of a return to greatness... but I'm not ready to call that yet.

On the other side, we don't have to rely on Moses as much as we did last year now that we finally have guards that can drive the paint.

I remember being all excited when Mike Washington dunked all over top 10 Texas and did the same to top 10 OU...then we won 2 games in league play.

Yea, temper those expectations...

I looked up Houston, they haven't played anybody of note besides LSU who beat UH by 21.

Absolutely. This team does somewhat resemble, however many of Nolan's early 90s teams. Athleticism, length, and decent perimeter shooting. They lack the same depth, but it appears Mike is remedying that.

Never forget the myriad junior college player that helped make this program: Keith Wilson, Lenzie Howell, Robert Shepherd, Clyde Fletcher, Corey Beck, Dwight Stewart, Alex Dillard, Jesse Pate, Sunday Adebayo, Jannero Pargo, etc.

Literally the two best wins I can vividly remember (im 28) and the worst season period.

Frick that season right in the you know what.
