No damn excuse to be in year 3 and losing to Toledo and TT at home.

No excuse for Mike Anderson to be in year 5 and we have absolutely not one shred of hope of making the NCAAT.

Long, Bielema, and Anderson's combined yearly salary: Over $7 million.

$7M we're paying and for what? So our AD can be the face of the CFP to which Arkansas will never participate in? So our football HC can embarrass the program? So we can be the doormat of a bad basketball conference?

Clean the fricking house.

Mike has had a lot more success than Bielema.

If success is defined by not losing to shitty OOC teams, then yes I agree.

Both have a crutch to fall back on....Mikes team is in the slammer and Bert's skill players lost their feet and arms.

We just had our best year in basketball since the mid 90s. Bielema hasn't come close to anything resembling success.

True, but we likely follow that up with a Pelphrey type season. We all know it's coming. We(I) just don't want to admit it.

I agree on Bert. He has won 11 games total at Arkansas in 28 attempts.

Winning a first round NCAAT game is about the same as Bert's crappy bowl win.

It should always be easier to turn around a BB team than a football team.

IMO, as of now, both programs are below mediocrity.

I do find it odd that everyone thinks we'll be terrible in basketball because of the players we lost, but we were all convinced that our defense wouldn't take a step back after losing our best players. Many of us even thought our defense would be better!

It's just strange that Bielema gets the benefit of the doubt and Mike doesn't, even though we've improved every year under Mike and we're looking at a 3-9 season again with Bert.

I think that has more to do with how Bert has been more engaged with the fan base.

Defense wise, all we heard all off season was how deep we were up front and how good we were on the back end. Bert mentioned multiple times how we did lose star power, but he felt overall the group was better. He sold everyone. He also engaged everyone.

Mike isn't very vocal. Doesn't talk up his team, or talk down his team during camps. Which, IMO is why Bert maybe has gotten the benefit of the doubt, prior to now. Bert is just a little more open, truthful or not.

I'm beginning to think he truly believed we were deep because they went up against our abysmal run blocking.

Let's face it....Bert now has Texas tech's friggin prep boy coach publicly trashing him....and he can't say shite.

We are a laughingstock around the nation. I ain't dropping 15-20k a year to be part of that.

Expect Long to latch on to Texas boosters like a tick on a dog. He will be wanting outa town I suspect.

Bert? Likely takes the money and runs. Half sure to be Jens in short order. Rehab looms.

Mike will keep plugging away. If he'd hire actual basketball coaches as assistants it wouldn't hurt.

Honestly its not fair to lump Mike in with those other two worthless fricks. He at least doesn't speak out of turn or cock off about how much of a businessman he is

I'm not thrilled but I won't really worry about it until we have a decent FB coach again

Anderson and Van Horn get a pass.... I'm done with Bert unless we see a major turnaround this season. No excuse for how crappy we've played the last two weeks.... NONE... I don't want to hear all the injury crap.... JWill is the only injury that should affect us at all. RWIII can be a good SEC back he just needs touches. We are going to run Collins in the ground before mid season if we aren't careful. O-line is out of shape and we've regressed there... that's on Pittman. Enos can't find and identity with the offense. Smith seems to have lost his mojo with this defense... we've been out of position and have no inkling of a pass rush. Not only that, our scheme has been unsound.... why in the frick do you play your MLB on the edge against empty with a QB that is a runner?
How gutless is it to start kicking field goals (and not even making all of them) knowing you are going to have to match scores????????

I'm done with this clown..... He needs to shut his mouth and focus on building a football team....
Coach pretty boy had every right to call him out in the post game press conference!
Once again we are the laughing stock of college football. How long will we continue to do this to ourselves?

Can we afford the $15m buyout after this season?

Or is that just wishful thinking?

that's pretty much how i feel but i think i may be pissed even if we do turn it around. what the hell did they do in the off season if we can turn it around now with all the injuries? that said, i hope we at least screw over an sec team or two.
