Strange thing is there are plenty of firearms on that campus, and I'm not talking about security or police.

So nothing has changed

Let's check the stats from the past few years ago on gun crimes

I'm all for the right to carry firearms but for us to even start considering stuff like this means there is a serious problem in this country.

I for one think that regular adding firearms into a stressful situation filled with alcohol and young people making poor decisions is absolutely brilliant. How could they possibly not approve this.

Yeah I'm ok with not allowing guns on school campuses.

Students being deprived their 2nd amendment rights. The school might as well be wiping their arse with the constitution what an embarassment.

Brilliant. Can't have law abiding gun owners possessing guns on campus, only those willing to break the law. What could go wrong?

Troy is right. I was needlessly picked on in fourth grade because I wasn't allowed to open carry.

The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.

2 dead at UCLA. Wonder if that is a gun free zone? Can't imagine what went wrong there.

Pyg, I understand. Ignorant hyperbole is about all your side of the argument has. As Americans, we have God given rights codified by the Constitution. Among them is the right to defend ourselves. It is no less sacred than any of the others.

Was UA a gun free campus on August 28, 2000?

I was at Kimpel that day. Gun free or not gun free wasn't going to stop what happened.

I used to have to succumb to gun control and check my firearm with DPS on Storer Street back in the day, irresponsible and untrustworthy frick that I was.

During the time I was there a man had a shotgun on campus looking for his girlfriend/ex. Evidently he forgot to check his gun. I don't have an old issue of the Traveler and Al Gore hadn't invented the Internet then so I can't remember how the story ended.

But the anti-gun sentiment on this board (not among all of course) doesn't surprise me in the least--overall it is what I would have expected.

It was gun free.

There are law abiding, conceal carry citizens all over the state. That's what the constitution has allowed them to be.

Schools and Universities are sitting ducks for idiots and nut cases.

Arm people and they will protect the innocent or carry on with the millennial ways and think things will get better.

Couldn't someone with an enhanced conceal carry still legally carry?
