Can a person get a fake number to send texts from? Is their an app or something? I received texts from someone late last night who claims to know both me and another person who has caused me some minor drama lately.
I'm assuming it was just the drama person herself and no other person but it came from an area code in Cali, prefix from LA. Can someone from around here get a phone number with that area code etc- like a burner/disposable phone or like I said above is there an app to fake your number? There were 4 texts in all and they came in ding ding ding ding at the same time, it was seemingly one giant text broken up (broken up so well the last part was really meant to be the second part- I had to read it all twice to even make sense of it).

Yes, there are apps to send texts from fake numbers. I have done it before to mess with friends.

Here's what you do about the people doing this. You send a reply saying that all of these texts are being saved for future use as needed. In the state of Texas it is up to the reporting officer at his discretion to judge what is harassment and what is not. Furthermore, if these texts escalate, in this state simple assault has a very liberal definition and you will take ever step and legal avenue you have at your disposal.
I have no clue if any of that is true in Arkansas, but the odds are these idiots don't know either.
I had to handle a bully issue my son's first year of middle school and you wouldn't believe how I squashed that shite.

There are apps and then you can also make up a number and text from google voice on a PC

TextFree. You can basically text from any number and area code. I use it a lot when out of the country.

I've debated on that. In the past I guess 3 weeks I've gotten facebook messages from her (we weren't friends) a 3rd party asked if I had b/c another person we know had gotten some. I didn't realize til days later that she had sent me some because since we weren't friends it went to my 'filtered' file. The first of those was nice and just explaining her situation and such, the 2nd was a thumbs up (i have no idea why?), the 3rd said I needed to shut my dick sucking mouth (yeah, she's a delight) about something which I had said nothing about. I didn't reply but I guess she saw that I had read them.
So, the next night (or could have been two nights later) can't recall now after I read those, I get phone calls at 2 am from her basically saying the same stuff she'd said in the messages. I really pretty much laughed at her which I think maybe pissed her off more. She called me a pussy for not replying to the messages- well hell I nothing to say to her.
A few days later, I get a text from her number. Screen capped it but didn't even click on the text to 'read' it because I could see the whole thing from the main message screen.
Nothing happens for a week or so then last night these other texts.
Oh, after the phone call I found an app where I can record phone calls, so if she tries that again, I am going to record her pscyho self. I have everything else either saved or screen capped- including the call list with her number on it. That's the only reason I hesitate now to tell her I'm keeping stuff- I would love to catch the hag in her own voice.
So, Pio take note- if there's a murder in central arkansas of which 2 females are involved and one of their initials is AP (not me) then I could be one of the players.
I've also put my gun right in my nightstand for easy access- have been target shooting twice since this all started. I may speak freely and open and have a lot of sass on here but irl I'm actually a pretty silly, yet calm, extremely non dramatic person but I do have my limits.

typically, i'm not a scared person AT ALL. i'm the type that will leave my purse in the car with the doors unlocked at a gas station while i run in to grab a water or something.
i'm trying not to be a total chicken shite right now but also trying not to be too lackadaisical about it either just in case.

i've never been in a fight, the closest thing was a hair pull with a girl in high school and she grabbed mine first so i yanked back.
so, hell i don't know that i'm scared but i'm on alert maybe?

Is there a "CS" involved? My family had to deal with a crazy woman who sent a lot of nutty texts, emails, and FB messages.

She is, and I know y'all are only hearing one side of the story but I have NEVER contacted her nor even talked about her until this stuff started. I may have done some stuff in my life I shouldn't have but I'm completely innocent on this one.

Contact your local pd or sheriff's office file a complaint of telephone harassment and request a protective (restraining) order.
That way if she contacts you again you can have her arrested.
