Strong has had too much success as a HC to slink back to the assistant ranks. He'd never had a losing season until went to Austin, and he went 23-3 and won a BCS Bowl his last two years at Louisville.
I could see him taking a HC job at a lower tier P5 or a decent G5 program.

The only argument to your point is the supposed buyout with HC's, in that their buyout would be nullified once by taking another HC position. Seems like that the ongoing rumor in these instances but not sure how valid that actually is.

His buyout isn't nullified if he takes another HC, it's just offset based by his new salary.

You're deflecting. And in the other thread you were blaming USF if Strong get's hired as a HC. You MIGHT be able to spin that. But if he gets hired as a DC somewhere else you're gonna get roasted.
