So, who is still melting?

That was pretty embarrassing last night.
That is all I really have to say about it.
I wouldn't mind seeing Robb Smith still stranded in Auburn.
I also wouldn't mind seeing on twitter that Kurt Anderson ripped his pants again and he may be searching for a new pair for a few weeks some place else never to find his way back to Fayetteville.

My complaints have been the same all year. Anderson and Segrest have to go. Now I've just added Smith to that list as well.
If Bielema doesn't overhaul his staff in the offseason then he will be gone sooner than later.

I'm still melting today, and I'm one who usually looks for the silver lining and who has usually been a Bert apologist up until now.
I'm not calling for Bert to go just yet (I did start a thread last night about how I'm at the end of my rope with him), but there are several assistants who need go to immediately. We have probably 2 or 3 decent assistants on this staff and a bunch of dead weight. That spells doom in this league.

Agree with all of those at this point.
Really no excuse for Segrest and Smith at this point with all of the depth we have up front. Wise looks like he has regressed from last season. Ledbetter has been hidden in the mess. We have no pass rush and we cannot stop the run. I do not think it is personnel. Because I see our guys and they look like legit SEC defensive linemen. So, I have to start leaning to scheme and who is teaching them their technique. That then goes back to Smith and Segrest.
I will say, the most improved group on our team from last year to this year is the DBs. Coverage is so much better. If Pulley gets that early pick 6 the game is likely different, but Ill never get mad at a DB for dropping a pick. They're a DB, not a WR. At least there was a play on the ball and our DBs were looking for the ball, not just following the WR and hoping there is a drop.
I wouldn't mind seeing Smith sent packing and Rhoads moved to DC at some point. With the progress he has made in a short time with the DBs, Im sure he would be a heck of an upgrade at DC. He has proven as much over his career.
Segrest should have left last season.

I'm a puddle in the floor. Nothing left to melt at this point.

One thing that bothers me is how badly we've bungled our defensive line from a personnel standpoint. Ledbetter starts 12 games last year at DE, but we move him inside. Agim is/was a promising 5 star big bodied DE who we move inside as well.

I'm not melting, mainly because I have become numb to the disappointment that is Arkansas football.

This is pretty much where I am. I have yard work that needs to be done today, and a couple of beers left over from yesterday.
I miss the days when we could look forward to Basketball. I'm tired of mixing Kool-Aide with clear alcohols.

Checking in.
I've melted until I was numb and distracted myself for a few hours, then remembered everything and melted all over again.
This has happened like 4 times.
frick.

If we lose to the Gayturds then I'm going to melt like a mofo.

This is how I knew I was melting last night:
During that bleak 2012 season and in CBB's first season, I watched every game, no matter how ugly. Last night, I discovered that season 4 of LUTHER was finally placed on Netflix and opted to watch that after the score climbed to 35-3.
Even though the "season" was lackluster and only two episodes, it was the right choice.

Bruh, one of my earliest memories is listening to the Citadel game on the radio. I've been through the Crowe/Kines/Ford/Nutt/Herring/Petrino & JLS eras. I melted a loooong time ago. I'm permanently in a hybrid solid/liquid state. For those of you in your 20's you will be joining me in this state at some point in the future.

to help put things in perspective, from jon ham...

This year, Arkansas had a 8 game stretch before a bye week and in the 8th game went on the road @ Auburn who was coming off a bye. #21 Auburn beat #17 Arkansas 56-3.
In 2001, Auburn had a 8 game stretch before a bye week and in the 8th game went on the road @ Arkansas who was coming off a bye. Unranked Arkansas beat #17 Auburn 42-17.
These are the only times since Arkansas joined the SEC that either Arkansas or its opponent went on the road in their 8th+ game before a bye against an opponent coming off a bye.

Using having to play every week for 8 weeks as an excuse for that arse kicking is getting old.

I'm almost to the point of going full blown red arse on JL and Bielema. Bielema really needs to shut his GD mouth and start coaching fricking football. He needs to stop crying at press conferences and he needs to start demanding fricking excellence from himself, the other coaches, and the players.
I'm fricking pissed.
