Looks like it's going to be a lot of fun.

I wasn't thrilled with their comments/attitude toward brewing, but I think their decision to brew is more of an economic one than any sort of passion for brew culture. And that's fine... there's more than enough room in the brewing world for different attitudes and offerings and the financial wisdom of brewing your own beer for your chain of restaurants is sound.

It's shirtless frat boys and old douches trying to relive the college years.

I think a few people on here will love it.

I hope it's not as loud as the one in Conway. Yes, I'm old but gosh damn when I'm sitting right beside- as in right freaking beside someone- and all I can do is try to read their lips, it's a little loud. Yeah, just a skinch.

The main attraction to the uptown Fayetteville one is their backyard. It has sand volleyball, a little hot-tub type pool, shuffleboard (the real kind) bocce ball, ping-pong, a stage for live bands, a BBQ trailer, an outdoor bar, a "bar trailer", and the whole thing is astro-turfed.

It's a scene. Reminds me of some bars in Austin, only possibly better.

That could get interesting. It does sound kinda cool with all that I must admit.

Nothing wrong with Roger's Rec. White Star is where I draw the line.

White Star is true old school un-gentrified Fayetteville.

And the JBGB is nuts. It's almost too much. People gonna hurt theyselves.

Big Smith, Jupiter Hollow, Kimock, Merle Saunders, Echobase, Matlock and Sons, Dirt Spirits, Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey, Medicine Show, New Tribe, Mountains of Venus... I spent a LOT of time at Chester's (and George's) through the 90s.

Yep. I feel like Chester's wasn't properly mourned when it passed. That one little lightbulb out back, they'd flip it off and you'd start smelling the weed.

I guess it always played second fiddle to George's, but I'd love a place like that now. I guess it is what Kingfish tries to be.
