So.... The Govenor has called for More Hog games at... WMS!

Repeated 3 times on KARK . Evidently Asa hasn't been listening.
He publicly stated it today during a news conference at WMS!
WMS and WPS.... goes nicely together.. Right> :lol:

Realizes he will need votes from south Arkansas to be reelected.

As a South Arkansan it sucks having to drive 5 hrs to a Game but it's the fans South of little rock fault. You cant expect to have games at a smaller stadium if you can't even sell it out.

Southern Arkansas fans need to deal with it like southern Georgia and western Tennessee and northwest Louisiana and southern Mississippi Ole Miss fans do.

Agreed, I'm closer to Oxford than Fay yet still manage at least a game there a season. 4 1/2 hours isn't that big of a deal.

He should campaign on building a regional airport in El Dorado if he's that concerned about Southern Arkansans getting to Hog games.

This is how strong the suck of LR is. A lifelong NWA wine and cheese enthusiast moves to LR and only a few years later is pumping up the golf course. Give him a few more years, and he'll end up like the average Central Arkansan

I'm not surprised as what's not to love about tRock.
But anyhow I remember him sitting on a rock or something along Markham near the stadium before a game and this was during his first run for Governor in 2006 prior to the election. It appeared he was enjoying the WMS atmosphere (and had a hat on but not a hog hat) and now that he lives there it would convenient to be able to see a few more games close to home.
