I've spent most of my life as a Pastor or a missionary and it is time for me to get back to doing that full time.
Doing sports media was only suppose to be a hobby for me, but it turned into a full time job. But it wasn't my dream to do this and it certainly wasn't what I was created to do.
I started doing practice reports 10 years ago on Hogville as just an "update on what I saw today." With the help of Lanny and others it turned into a paying gig and one I have had a lot of fun doing. The radio show was nice, but going out and watching practices and reporting them here is what I really loved.
I informed the station last Monday that tomorrow would be my last show.
I'll still post on here and will try to make it to games as often as I can, but the show ends tomorrow and I won't be able to do practice reports when fall camp starts.
Just wanted to let you guys know. I appreciate all that you guys have done for me.

Yeah I like to poke fun at the guy but he has run circles around the pay per click guys the last few years when it comes to practice reports. Info is probably going to be hard to come by during fall camp.

Damn. He's been an Arkansas message board staple for a while. We'll miss him for sure...
One day I will return to the Hill and be able to attend all the practices, but unfortunately it's not looking like it will be anytime soon. Hopefully someone or a group of people will step up in his absence (doubtful).

Got bills to pay. Will miss Ched's work. He lose some love ones in an auto accident a couple years back, really feel for that family, great guy!

His show was fairly entertaining when they didn't have technical difficulties. My younger brother was on it with him so I met him a couple of times, he was/is a good dude.

It seems I'm the exception here, but I always found his practice reports to be pretty meh. Granted, they were vastly superior and longer than anything else the state media had to offer, but he was essentially the skinniest kid at fat camp. Lots of glossing over weaknesses from what I can recall, especially with regard to the Petrino defenses and the entire 2012 team prior to the ULM debacle.
Plus, he was always trying to pick fights with Jeff Long for some stupid reason or another in order to win over the idiots on Hogville. Never quite understood why he disliked Long so much, even prior to Petrino going over the handlebars.
Tremendously nice guy and a good story, but I always took his work with a grain of salt. Of course, having said all this, I'll probably be pissed when we get to fall camp and I'm getting 2 sentence fragments from Otis.

Before I got perma banned on HiV for not being a republican, I use to enjoy the fact that I could converse with someone in a thread that was going to the practices and could feed UU questions to get answers to.
Did wonders for my feeling of self worth which I need so desperately.
The advantage of being here is that I get to swap opinions with a generally more knowledgeable and smarter group of fans.
