Sickens me...
Then the video of hunger strike victim eating for the first time using words of racism....
And wearing a shirt that validates a convicted cop killer and member of the FBI's Most Wanted Terrorist List. She's also 2Pac's aunt, for whatever that's worth.
DISGUSTING! yeah, ....

These folks would be wise to leave this stupidity to the yanks. Good or Bad, the south is still the south.

I mean...if we're wishing, I wish people would just realize that words don't hurt unless you let them and there are millions of jerks in the world.

that's a good point too. and i know that people are oversensitive these days but if you're stupid enough to say stuff like that now in public then you deserve a pop in the nose, imo.

it seemed pretty calm and respectful to me.
seriously. Rev, reading that article, what is your issue with what's going on?

We have a small group of students, and probably professors, from all walks of life who will protest just about anything. Usually respectfully and orderly.
Shoot, the Fayetteville PD actively helps plan some protests so no one gets hurt and everyone can get back to business as quickly as possible. We are way too much of a blue collar school to really get caught up in things.

Starters, that is began at Mizzou
That the hunger strike oppressed is a kid of millionaires. Dat Opression Doh!
That the video of Mizzou hunger oppressed kid eating for the first time uses the racists words they were striking about...
That UofA students bought the hype to be MIZZOU
the absolute ignorance of it all.... Those kids have no idea what oppression is and the "Safe Space" yells...
Are you kidding me, MLK is rolling over in his grave, there was no "Safe Space" for the real heroes of the oppression movement.
Ok, Rant on/Off

It means it would be wise not to poke the bear to hard. Like it or not their is still a strong racist element in this state who wouldn't take to kindly to the stuff being pulled in Mizzou.
There are towns in this state where the police force actively tries to intimidate blacks from moving into their city.

pretty abhorrent view, man. 'sit down, shut up, and know your place' is no way to live. these are the places that need protests the most.

I agree

As do I, if it is truly racism...
My above thoughts, brings me much doubt.
Plus the dude wearing a tshirt advertising his support for a cop killing scumbag doesn't help matters!

So there's oppression here but that's no reason for students to protest?
And if it's happening here then it's probably happening to some degree half a state north of here.

I am not saying we should turn a blind eye to true racism. Hell burn down the hole town if you need to be noticed if its real racism.
My complaint is the basis of all of this stinks like a bag of 3 week old crap. Rev touched on many of the points, but many like myself are becoming fed up with it. If you can't point to true racism then sit your arse down. A president neglecting to address you as you interrupt a parade is by no means racism.
These kids want to know what racism is, take them down to Alabama and find black men who suffered great oppression simply because of the color of their skin.
I will proudly stand with a black man who suffers such as that.

Remember the last protest where FPD stopped traffic so they could lie in the road for seconds then get arrested.
