All the "Sources" of his leaving go back to one tweet, similar to how all reports of Gundy being hired here went back to one source.

Yeah. I guess I'd prefer to keep him for continuity's sake but I'd gladly take Buh as his replacement if he goes.

He's just the LB coach, if not for his stint as Miami's HC, no one would be worried one way or the other either.
He is a "name" coach, but most could not name 10 other LB coaches in CFB and at which schools.

I'd be happy to keep him. This seasons defense was the most fun I have had in a while, and LB play improved from our weakest area (Tied with WR) to one of our strengths with Spaight leading the way.
Smith, Shannon, Jennings, Segrest, and anyone else invoved with this D, I want all of them. They did a fantastic job.

I don't think Randy is ever about money but if he stayed another year and our D improved on what it did these last 6 games next year you would think he could get a big DC job. His name was in the UNC DC search before Chizik was hired but RS's name is everywhere.

If other schools aren't trying to hire your assistants away, then you are probably not winning many games. That said, I hope we can hang on to Shannon, would say a lot about our program if we can keep an asst from making a lateral move to a school as appealing as Florida

Reports are starting to come out of Florida that Shannon is going to remain at Arkansas.
By reports I mean twitter from their media and payboards.
If Long and Bert did put together a counter offer good enough for him to say, that would/should go a ways towards showing other coaches how attractive jobs here can be and perhaps stop some of the insecurities some fans have every time a job opens up elsewhere....
