Bert talked about this in his post game presser last night. This problem was also identified after the aTm & Bama games.

Not a single improvement was made in that time. Remind you, we have seniors/juniors at DE. Did they just all of the sudden stop knowing how to play the position?

This is blatant. Auburn knew it, thats why the first play went to the house.

One of the things I have always liked about the 3-4 defense that Alabama runs and I have always wished we would run is the technique used on the outside. Your LBs essential come down and play an end position but there hand is not in the dirt. This allows them to see the action in the backfield.

What you have in a 4 front, like what we run is ends that will go with the flow of traffic on the lines. Once that happens, and you only have two DBs on the edge and then they are both accounted for with a WR and FB blocking, there isn't much you can do.

On that play, with the flow being so late with the motion, we were strong to the original side the WR was on. Gus knew that would be the case which meant our safety help over the top would be late getting over with the motion. Was a good play call and took the wind out of our sails very early in the game.

My point is, all 3 teams knew this weakness and our coaches didn't or either can't get it fixed.

Unacceptable
