I was absent from the rant that day. Just a typo that caught on or is there more to the joke?

Good luck against L5U, piggies

It's L5U for you. It's only 1SU for us right now.

Also, pretty sure it's just a funny typo. I think the nickname at Wisconsin message boards was just 2B's or something like that.

It's a thing Ohio State fans started. That is why I've never been a fan of it.

I don't think I started it, but I was calling him Bert before it became the thing to do on the rant. I started doing it as a way to mock opposing fans that were talking about what a douche he is.

Its because of the spelling. If he was Brett, this wouldn't exist. But Bret is just begging to be called Bert.

Pretty sure it was an Ohio State beat writer who called him Bert in a post game presser, of course Bert had an epic Bert response.

as others have mentioned it was started in B1G country as a slight to Bret.

My mindset is if you take an insult and embrace it, it no longer becomes an insult. So I embrace the bert and use it all the time now.

Thanks. It's a pretty dumb insult. What's wrong with the name Bert?

I have another stupid question. Who was the old guy behind Bert on the sideline against OM?

He has some long title, but basically he's in charge of the electronics on the sidelines, headsets, etc.
