I, for one, take it as a compliment.

I've already pointed out their generosity.

I dedicate this post, to my lurking friend, Mr. Henry Jones Jr.

I wish I could take pleasure in this; I'd rather be kicking arse
We are now nearly 20 years since our prime. We are as irrelevant in BKB as Tennessee is in FB; and there is no doubt that Tennessee was FB elite for a very long time.
We're so used to losing that it no longer stings when we are proven yet again to have another average team. We are now wannabes or "used to bes."
We hold on to our past victories so tightly and venerate our past coaches so fervently that we have a large contingent of people seemingly blind to the FACT that we are a poorly coached team...even with MA at the helm.
Henry Jones and the other Ole Miss lurkers recognize that we are rapidly evolving into a "WAOM" mentality in BKB which matches their FB expectations:
They no longer demand championships; we don't either
They hang on to past glory; we do too
They have an Ole Miss guy coaching FB; we have a Nolan guy coaching us
Their coach recruits well but is obviously inferior in the Xs and Os part of the gig; we do to.
Their FB team pulls it together, gets their hopes up, then falls apart; so does our BKB team.
They beat Bama and think they are finally back ; we do the same with Kentucky last year. Everybody else recognizes those victories as the flukes they were
We can't blame the Ole Miss folks for recognizing the symptoms of their own affliction in us. Personally, I think they are spot-on in that assessment

Yep, bad loss but it can easily be overcome.

I can't wait for Baseball to start.
VanHorn better not lose a fricking game.
He's had plenty of time, the team would be better if he'd quit recruiting drunks.

The truth isn't the same as a 'big melt.'

I've watched Arkansas basketball for 20+ years, I expect one or two games a year where we just never show up, this was that game. Last year it was @Alabama
We'll probably come out Thursday and shoot 58% and hold Bama to 43% shooting or something.

The truth is there's a lot of basketball yet to be played
No need to assume truths based off of one game

Please, his players with DWIs average has been higher than the teams batting average.
Year 13 and the team still can't hit, poor fundamentals, poor recruiting, and no adjustments it isn't 2004 anymore, the game has passed him by.

No desire to squabble with you. I like the way you post and respect your opinions.
But I'm just tired of seeing us look poorly-coached. Heath, Pel, MA...doesn't matter who. This issue isn't just about Mike.
I've watched Arkansas basketball since the triplets were around. I remember us sticking with and beating Houston during the Phi Slamma Jamma days. I remember when we needed some "men," and Nolan went out and got them.
Nolan's teams played with a level of beautiful savagery that was amazing to behold.
Street or #%^*+^ ball? bullshite. Nolan coached his arse off.
Eddie's team were like fine-tuned machines. He was brilliant before the drink got him.
We had great coaches. GREAT.
To be elite, Arkansas needs to have a great coach. I think we have a solid coach; not a great one. It's just an opinion; doesn't make me right or true or the "winner" of an internet debate.
But our decline continues unabated at this point in my opinion. Even if we win a few more games, we aren't really close to getting over the hump to become a BKB force again.
I fear that we have become collectively inured to mediocrity to the point where we accept that which we would not have accepted 20 yrs ago.
That bothers me, and I hope to be proven wrong by MA.

If he didn't make the NCAA tournament the previous 12 years and have 3 CWS appearances (the elite 8 for those that need it put in basketball terms) in that same time frame you might have a point
