SEC Alternate?

I have direct and have never been able to see the game on the Alternate channel. Is this the only channel for our game Saturday?
If so, I need to call direct asap... Dang, wish we were on the U at least...

check your PPV channels.... on dish it's up there with them .....at least I think so

Do you not get channel 611-1? It's literally the channel right after the SECN (611).

I do, but in the past it has never shown a game. Even when scheduled. SEC Network works fine...
Last year we had a game that was on SEC Network, however another game went into overtime. The crawler at the bottom of the screen told folks to go to the alternate channel. Notta.
ETC. Sucks for me. I cant go to the game this weekend.

It seems it is a dead channel 99% of the time but when it does work, it may just duplicate the primary unless you live in some weird place and it actually shows the ALT channel. Seems very hit and miss if you are getting traditional media on TV but might be different if computer or phone.

I use my kids Wii console and stream the watch espn app. I have had the same issues with the alternate channel as well. I am with Direct.

Sounds like you have your alternate channel frequency disabled.
Go to your menu and set it to enabled.

Rev, just spend $60 on Apple TV at Wally World and be done with it...Just the ESPN App alone is worth the money. You can watch regularly scheduled programming, ESPN3, SEC Network, SEC Network+, etc.

Or you could spend half that on a chromecast and do the exact same thing.
It doesn't matter this weekend though, I've already checked DirecTV and the game is being broadcast on their SEC alternate channel. It will be directly before the normal network, ch 611

that's the problem for me, for some reason my sec alternate hasn't been working for games on that channel the past two years. One time It came on at half time.
Awww, well... I called and got new equipment being installed tomorrow and updated my service to a lesser costs. Hopefully that will take care of it all
