Did they under-build that facility?

April 24 – NEEDTOBREATHE / Ben Rector / Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors / Colony House
May 1 – Brantley Gilbert / Casey Donahew / Michael Ray
May 3 – Chicago
May 16 – Steve Miller Band
May 19 – Dave Matthews Band
June 2 – Third Eye Blind / Dashboard Confessional
July 30 – Kenny Chesney

I also just saw a tweet that Widespread Panic is coming in July. I'm not a huge fan but I know some are.

I looked at that 3EB tour and I'm not real excited about the show but I also see that Rogers/NWA is one of the smallest metros they are going to.

It's completely under-built. Every concert sells out immediately, parking sucks.

That being said, it's a far cry from what they had at the NWA Mall.

Hey man, I had a great time at the mall AMP shows. The STS9 show in 2010 was in the top 1/3 of tribe shows I've ever been to, and I've been to a lot of soundtribe shows.

Other than the two country acts and DMB that looks like a riverfest lineup.

There were some great shows there, the venue in Rogers is much better although still, under-built

Nothing can beat Vino's and Juanita's in the 90s. Some awesome memories there

Well the Walton Family isn't fricking around with this stuff. The Hunts gave the land and Walmart funded a big part of the AMPs construction, but the AMP came under the Walton Arts Center organization umbrella prior to that.

Their long term plan includes bringing bigger concert acts to Fayetteville at Bud Walton Arena once the venue is renovated to host concerts easier.

NWA will always have more culture than it deserves, thanks largely to the Walton Foundation.

A bag of shrooms and a girl with questionable morals and low self-esteem by my side and it would be just like college again.

Until we get someone with the taste (and financial backing) of Chris King up here, that isn't going to happen. They get tons of relevant, interesting acts at the Rev Room and Stickyz.

Dashboard, I just assumed he was done when I graduated high school 13 years ago.

Holy frick! Surely he's aged himself out of performing his songs.

King used to be in Fayetteville.

Fay needs a venue like Stickyz. The condos killed a few good venues, like Dave's and even Schulertown (where Legacy stands now). And the abomination that is STIR is where Chester's Place used to be.

I know Chris and Suzon well from their Fayetteville days. Some of my best memories occurred at Chesters. Downstairs JRs had some great shows as well (some Chris booked and some Wade Ogle did). Wade is still booking good stuff at what's left of JRs but the space is pretty limited.
