Tyler wilson started the game, got hurt, brandon allen comes in.
Why not Brandon Mitchell? I know he was still on the roster he threw a td pass against auburn later in the year

That was the year he played WR but looking at the box score he didn't have any stats there either. Maybe he was hurt?

Some names I haven't thought about in years looking at it...MeKale McKay...Nate Holmes...

And then we had a freshman qb who was obviously rattled throw like 46 deep balls in a row. Some great management there, Paul.

Mitchell had moved to WR I think. Also, Paul Petrino let ULM tie the game by trying to make the score look respectable by throwing it every down rather than running the damn ball and getting out of there with a narrow win when our players were getting hurt every snap. On our last possession of regulation we could have ran the clock down to almost nothing but instead threw three incomplete passes.

His td pass against Auburn was on a reverse or something like that. I was at the game and if I remember correctly it was a pretty damn good throw.

Why did they keep Paul after firing Bobby? I know he wasn't the one to crash the motorcycle but still surprised he remained

One the assumption that he knew his brother's offense and would be and extension thereof.

The above summations were spot on in regards to that game. We were in control and had an NFL backfield, but that dope kept throwing deep even though ULM was blitzing every other play and was getting pressure on our QB. Absolutely moronic.

There was some hope that he had learned from his brother, that really wasn't the case

I still remember hiv melting down in a thread I started calling Paul out for losing the game with his play calling because if the fans were mean to Paul, Bobby wouldn't come back.

I typically loathe the whole, "Should've done this and should've done that" crowd, but it was the dumbest play calling I have ever seen.

The second half of the ULM game was the worst and most profoundly stupid offensive playcalling that I've ever seen - or will ever see - at any level of football.

To put a freshman QB in that situation when you've got backs like Knile Davis and Dennis Johnson to turn to is maddeningly idiotic.

It was unbelievable. I'm not kidding when I say that Paul Petrino should have been fired in the locker room after the game.

The only thing that came close to that level playcalling derpitude was when Bobby tried his best to give the Liberty Bowl to ECU by continuing to throw the ball in -eleventy degree weather in the 4th quarter. Thank God for ECU's kicker.

I know it rained during the Bama game, but not sure about ULM.

That Bama game was fricking miserable.

i remember laughing at auburn earlier that day, not watching or going to teh game beccause i thought it was going to be a blowout and saving my time / energy for the bama game which i had planned on going to at the time. despite i was living in conway at the time and going to chili's to pick up my takeout. i heard on the radio that we lost via Sirus XM. got home to see the trolling online then my tooth fail out lol. pretty shite tastic day overall

The best part is that Paul petrino threw the players under the bus after the game.
