What's the scoop?

Have they finished the four lanes from on Razorback Road between MLK and Maple? I read they ran out of money to complete the second phase up Maple to Garland and out.. Doesn't surprise me if the original isn't completed either considering they said Spring of 2015.

Last trip home it looked as if orange barrels just continued to sit on Razorback..

Done between MLK and Leroy Pond. Looks good

Nothing else is programmed at this time. Highway trust fund is empty

Next phase will be Maple between Razorback and Garland. They have done the water and sewer for that though

Last portion will be between Leroy Pond and Maple

What they have done right now will help with gameday traffic some. I'm curious to check out the work they're doing to Stadium Drive, where they took out Virginia and several of those little houses just east of Bud Walton, making it a straight shot from Maple all the way to MLK. That should help some, too. At some point, hopefully a parking garage will replace Barnhill and they'll be able to route all of the postgame traffic from there straight south to MLK.

Proper Face, I appreciate the information.

I truly hope we find a solution to our highways woes because we are going to need better infrastructure.

Last time I dove by on the east side of The Bud those houses had construction tape around them. I had a chance to buy one out of college, dirt cheap, but was a poor graduate at the time. Do you have any information about the proposed roundabout and access to MLK?

This will certainly help in making a nice square flow of traffic to, around and out of the stadium. I would certainly be on board with replacing Barnhill with a parking deck. The old lady certainly had her day and it's time we lay her to rest. Plus, I'm not keen on her architectural style.

I believe Long and company are waiting on the road work and a good year with Coach B before announcing our stadium expansion, officially.

AHTD has really been stepping up with Scott Bennett at the helm. We won't have a top highway network anytime soon but the past few years have been very promising to say the least.

I agree. Add "parking" to that list of waiting. They are finally building some of the lots they proposed west of Razorback near the old testing center. I kinda wouldn't mind if they knocked down the Islamic student center while they're at it. I don't want them baws getting any ideas about what they might do to a bunch of pig worshippers.

I've gone pretty far right, but it wouldn't hurt if we had somebody in DC who would actually advocate for $$$ to come back to Arkansas. As I posted in another thread, we are a federal tax donor state and that is ridiculous.
